- AnnoyedByTheezPeepul| 1 replyJust got a call from this number today, they left a message saying they are calling from some location/tracing service for *somebody. The name sounded like 'Ohbeegut'. I couldn't understand the computer-generated name but the rest of the recording sounded like it was from some lady who's worked at the DMV for too long, if you know what I mean... sick of her job, burnt-out and tired of repeating the same message over and over, telling me that if I didn't have any information regarding this individual's location the law allows them to contact anyone they see fit, and that I had to call them back immediately even if I have no information.
Sorry but I don't gotta do jack shjt, so didn't call them back. - EmotionalProblemsYeah. "TheezPeepul" has it right. Now, this bunch wants US to call THEM back and give OUR information because THEY can't find someone?!?!? What would they do with my information after I prove I have no connection to "Todd Armboglarifarnium"? Unfortunately, there probably are too many people who do fall for this codswollop. Actually, because of the THREATS made, I wouldn't call them back even if I did have information about "Todd Armboglarifarnium"!!!!!!!!!!!!

- Alfred haussener replies to AnnoyedByTheezPeepulI had the exact same call muitple times same message also I just let it ring and don't answer. Very bad performance for that person that is unprofessional.
- MikeSame call demanding my location and whereabouts even if I don't know this person. Must call back. How stupid she think I am. I'm getting tired of this BS. Never says what or who is calling. No name or company.
- Caller: Unknown
- EmotionalProblemsYes... They called, again, a few minutes ago. This time the call did not get me out of bed. The name of the person they want was not so garbled, this time... A Tommy D... Since I do not want to get more calls, I punched "0" as requested. After a "short" wait with ear splitting "music," a male voice came on the line, apologized for the delay, and asked if he was speaking with Mr. D... I told him he was not, and that I have no connection to Mr. D..., have never heard of this person, and would be quite gratified if they would PUH-LEEZE cease, and desist, calling this number to reach him. The male voice said he would remove my number from their system, but it would take at least 24 hours, and I should be receiving no more calls from them, after "end of business," tomorrow. (Right.) I thanked him for his time, and consideration, then rang off. I guess we'll see... After the call, I did "google" the name, and found that a person with that name in this area (within 75 miles) expired (died) about 6 years ago. I, perhaps, mistakenly, assume this issue has to do with a long-time, unpaid debt. Maybe, someone should update their records?

- Cora| 1 replyThis number called my ex-husband (25 years now) looking for me , they called my phone while I was at work , then my daughter .she forwarded the message and it said they were trying to track me down and if she had any info she defiantly needed to call . I called them and he said there were 5 accounts of online payday loans in my name that needed paid all from a few years ago, into a closed account, and they have my whole social security number and bank account number with routing number, my address and work info all made from an email I have not had for 6 years.i told him I've never received money in any of my accounts or in the mail,he said it could have been a money order they sent.
- Caller: Didn't understand the name
- Call type: Debt collector
- Tygerkat replies to CoraRest assured, this is a scam. If they call again, DEMAND they send you via US Mail proof of this debt. If they refuse, say they already did,,or say you'll receive it AFTER you pay them, you know it's a scam. By law, debt collectors must prove the debt they're trying to collect.
The best bet, though, is to just block and ignore their calls and tell your family to do the same.
