- miloRecorded message to call them back regarding an unpaid dept that has gone to collection. There were no specifics on who the debtor or creditor were. Since I never received a written notice regarding unpaid debts, this leads me to believe this is probably a case of mistaken identity or a fishing expidition.

- TomcatIf they are constantly calling you should report to your state attorney general's office. They gather all the info and may send a cease and desist order. If not they can file a lawsuit.

- gary hayre replies to Help@leadingedgerecovery.com| 1 replywill you please stop calling here or I will file a harassment suite on you. I don't owe no one or behind in my bills
- BigA replies to gary hayreFirst, the post you are replying to was made 3 years ago, and there is no actual evidence that the poster actually represents this debt collector. Second, the law states that you have rights, but you must assert those rights by sending them the following:
You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation, cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (think of it as the best $6.47 you ever invested). Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it. Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter. You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to. Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment. If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it. Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front): http://www.consumeradvocates.org/
http://www.consumeradvocates.org/find-an-atto ... tates_value=All
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.
List of State AG’s offices: https://800notes.com/faq/attorney-general - zip zapperThese scumbags call at least once per week even after being told they have the wrong number and being threatened with a law suit. Now here's what ol' zip zapper suggests. If these scumbags are legit and you legitimately owe money, then pay what you owe and quite whining.
If these are not legit bill collectors, or continue to harass innocent citizens then these scumbags and all victims should first read BigA above - very good suggestions. BigA has the preferable means to handle these scumbags.
If the scumbags are not legit and they insist on harassing innocent people then perhaps they should think about their rewards in heaven or hell - most likely hell. Better yet, these criminals should imagine their worse nightmare in which they are hunted down like scumbags should be hunted. Their friends and acquaintances tell the seething mobs their home address and their cherished possessions. The mob burns all. One of the nightmare demons hunts down the scumbags after preparing large vats of tar. The mob slowly lowers them into the tar and applies the feathers. The crowd cheers as the scum bags suffer the tar and feathering. Think of the agonizing blisters and the suffocating tar. One particularly hideous demon pushes a small pipe through the tar for their screams of agony to escape - cracking a few teeth in the process. The nightmare demon then drags the tarred blistered bodies to court behind a car that doesn't drive very straight. The demon laughs at seeing feathers fly each time the tarred scumbag hits a wall or pole. Once in court, the scumbags evil attorney rips the tar and skin from their bodies, applies alcohol (to kill germs of course) and smiles with gleaming eyes while he listens to their howls of pain. In slow motion, the judge and jury take scumbag ill-gotten money. A court appointed demon with sharp cat-like claws rips the scumbags a new one. The demon licks the blood and burps. The court throws the scumbags in Jail with bubba. Oh how he and his friends enjoy the old and the newly ripped ones. And the nightmare continues
Moral of the story: scumbags, if you are not legit, then wake up from the nightmare and fly straight!!!- Caller: debt collector??
- PatThey called while I was on the phone and didn't leave a message! The calls had stopped but are starting up again. I looked the number up online and it is from Leading Edge Recovery sysytems, a debt collection agency. I owe no debts.
- Call type: Debt collector
- Me TooFound this website while looking up the collection agency. Looks like zip zapper got it right above. I don't call an outfit legitimate that calls every day after being told that they have the wrong person. This is harassment. So I would agree with zip zapper when he says that the 'scumbags' are in fact criminals. Hmm maybe mail them horse dung wrapped all-perty-like with a perty bow and a big FU. Let the fun begin! Long live zip zapper!

- Me Too Again| 1 replyThese scumbags call all the time. We don't owe anything. They love to harass just to harass. Really their company name should be Global Scumbags. Besides reading Zip Zapper above, here's interesting reading to maybe help collect up to $1500 from these scum for illegal calls:
