Got a call from them yesterday. Left a message about a Burke adamant association. number popped up as private but this is the call back number they gave me. Tried looking them up and can find nothing. Whitepages has it listed as Owner's name hidden by Whitepages for privacy reasons and located in the U.S.  Will not call back in case it's a scam.

Got call from private number.  Caller said I was being served papers. That I was being sued to call 18552570151 for more info. By Eerk Ademan.  I didn't call.

P.s. Red flag.  Court servers don't call to worn you,  you are being served /sued.

Call  for person who does not reside here... but several messages in the past for same name.. all different issues. I did call back... person hung up on me  when I told her it was a scam. I was persistent.. called back several times and tied up her line. She eventually said she would take  my number off their list.

Police just verified, it's a scam.

Got a call from private number said he was with Burke Adams .  Said I had a court date for this Friday, and for me to contact 855-257-0151.  Called number spoke with a Miss English, said I threaten her and in no way did I do that, it was her way of not letting me talk.  Clark Howard.com said it was a scam.

They told me they were serving me between 10-2, never showed. Looked them up, nothing. Called the number back n they lied about garnishing my wages for something I didnt do. I told them their scammers and they hung up. I called about 15 times to tell them their scammers n take me off their list. They yell n hang up. So not professional if they were real. Complete scam!!!!! Call the number back and tell them off!

They called me over 10 times. Ms. English threated me. I hung up on her ass.

They called said a complaint was being launched against me mention some lawyer firm B& some type of association couldn't make out the second name! Lady the left the message said her name was just and if I didn't call back that I would soon he arrested! Called back got a msg! Nevered called back after reading about this bogus number! Very Sad situation that they can't be stopped!

Apologize for the fragmented sententes! Lady said her name was Judy and left some reference number for when I call back! I Did call back just got a msg stating to leave my name and number and they  call back! I choose not to after reading about this number! Has anyone  receive any calls similar!

That's exactly what I told the guy when he called my house. They don't warn you! what a scam!

They called and asked for my husband saying he was going to be served papers regardind a civil suit filed against him. I just kept pressing him for information because I know the legal system does not call to warn you that you are about to be served! After looking at all these messages, I am going to throw my note in the trash, just another scam.

Have any of you been asked if a Maribel Chavez is at your number?  This 'company' has been calling for 3 1/2 years on my house phone and I always told them there was no one by that name and to please take my number out of their system...I just got a call on my CELL phone that I've only had for one year!  Is this a coincidence or is there something going on that they used my house phone and then my cell phone???  How do they have both numbers???

This seems like a scam trying to get me to pay money over the phone.  I received an initial call from a "process server" who wanted to know when I'd be at work to be served a law suit (why would they warn me, so I could avoid it).  They gave me a number to call for a (hard to get a clear name): "Burke Engleman Associates" at 855-257-0151.  When I called I was put on the phone with a "lawyer" named "Greg Franks" who claims to work for "Eakens & Johnson Partners". When I told him my "case number" he proceeded to tell me my name, address, and last 4 of social"  (no one usually offers this information on the phone, they could get sued). They just wanted to ensure me they had plenty of legit information to scare me.  When I got off the phone I checked, and none of these companies exist in online searches.  I find no record of this lawyer (he must not do much business if he doesn't have any online presence, lol) They called me back from 562-383-9597 which is a landline in La Habra California that has a listing on an old yellow pages as a lock smith (Dunn House).  When I tried calling back and asking the operator for a random extension number (to test if there really are other people there) "Miss English" acted confused at first and then went on the offensive.  I tried to get the company name which she rushed and sounded like "Berk Adelman Associates". She was upset and rude with me for calling a number to ask what the name of the lawfirm was that I was calling. And refused to answer my simple (nicely worded) questions until I told her my full name.  This definitely seems like a scam. If I am wrong I will be sued in the next few days, but it seems unlikely that a real company / lawfirm would act in this way. (they get paid hourly and likely wouldn't "go out of their way" to help someone who is not their client).  All of this was based on claims that they mailed me information that I did not receive.  This is the 2nd time in the past few weeks I received this same sort of setup, but that last time was referencing a different debt that is visible on my credit report.  That one did not result in me being sued (yet, fingers crossed).  If this turns out to be real I will let me lesson learned help the community and I will repost on here warning others. If you find this post and a good amount of time has passed without me coming back to post my horror story, then assume it definitely was a fake scammer.

They called my husbands boss and left a message on his business phone asking for my husband saying he was going to be served papers regarding a civil suit filed against him.
We got a call last year around the same time asking where my husband was I said he wasn't available they said they were sending someone to his job to arrest him within the hour

Can they do that , That's so embarrassing ?

Total scammers.  Ignore and block the calls.
They also call from 855-422-9321.  If you call either of these numbers they just answer "corporate offices".  They changes CIDs all the time.  Nobody knows exactly who they are. They         call from from other numbers  and say they are Eakens and Johnson .

This is a group of scammers for sure. Called them after being contacted about an alleged debt that I owed from many years ago. They hang up if you ask for mailing address of firm or if you ask about court name and docket number of case they have filed . I'm sure nobody will ever get served any notice to appear from these guys and that they are not even real attorneys as no legit attorney would break FDCPA laws like this. Don't let them get you all worried these people prey on people hoping to scare you into giving them money and remember It is ILLEGAL for them to threaten to sue you without intent to do so or follow through and do so. In my state if they don't within 14 days its illegal. I suggest anyone contacted file complaints with State attorney generals offices and FTC.
