This number showed up on my screen as Microsoft helpline and my computer is locked. I called but no one there.

no rebooting systems,lol crtl-alt-delete to open task manager to shut it down

Got a message Error # stop722.com that appeared to lock the laptop up. I held down the power key until it turned off then turned it back on and ran a Norton update and did a complete system scan which found no problems. So far this has not recurred - knock on wood.

Is that true,I got a message on my computer saying call this number or my computer will be blocked.And some Indian guy answered.I called my dad and he called his friend who's a technician and he said its a scam.

I got a message today,I started my computer over.They said call this number and he showed me 5 other ppl was using my laptop.😰please answer quick.

Disconnect from the internet and find a legitimate computer repair business near where you live.

The scammer might have installed remote control software on your computer.
