From America Works, she left a message stating she received my number from the SS administration to go back to work. Seriously!

I had received this strange phone call as well although she did not mention to whom she was calling. Her name is Cynthia Wilson and that rings a bell but I do not remember where or another possible scam she may be associated with.
I thought it strange she had said the SSA had given her the information to call.
If anyone has any more info and it is a scam it should be reported, someone who falls for it may get in serious trouble.

This person calls from ticket to work, she says she got my dad's number from SSA, seriously ! My dad has been bedridden for many years and all of a sudden this scam calls him to go to work. And she didn't even sound clear when she left voicemail.

If you are on disability, the SSA wants to get you off.  They have a program called "Ticket to Work".  They tell you how much you can earn every month, and the program lasts for 9 months.  At the end of the time you either have to quit because you can't work anymore or stay on and lose your disability benefits and medicare.  The work is at home, usually on the computer or telephone.  It generally pays around minimum wage so that if you lose your benefits, you are basically left up the creek without a paddle.
I have gotten those calls as well.  I believe one of the outfits is called NTI.  As to whether this is one of those outfits or not is still up in the air since no one has given a company name for the caller.

Received two texts from this number today saying they have many local jobs available and to call.

Sounds like a scam

Received a spam text advising me to call this 855 number about SSI and SSD benefits in Chicago

July 24 2019. I received a called stating they got my name from Social Security Administration and if I want to go back to work. I knew it was a scam when they said that. SSA don’t give out information only SSA mail out information.
It get to me that people get my information from somewhere.

Got a text today stating this was to return to work.

Left 2 message for the ticket to work program through SS
And if I wanted to return the call at 855-268-1935 ..I did call to check it out but no one anwered her name Was Cynthia Wilson I did leave a message..I googled the number and it came up as a scam I never gave any information

Got a text message from a Cynthia (no last name given) saying that she works for America Works.  Told me to call that number but the call came from 901-763-6906

I just got a call from her today and I see your post is 8 years old! Same lady,  same Cynthia Wilson came up as potential spam

Then answer a call that said potential spam. When I played the message back it said it was Cynthia Wilson from America works. I see her there are a bunch of people here reporting this exact same call going back years. Government agencies don't come up as potential spam, if she's calling from a legitimate phone number and it didn't sound like a recording although it could have been, I don't believe it would have come up as a Spam number it would have said the company she is calling from
