Answered, said hello multiple times, they disconnected without a word. I returned call, first time got garbled recorded response I could not understand. Called again, got run-around about what kind of business they are. I did manage to get name Conserve, but of the two that I spoke to, neither could/would explain business. They finally decided they had wrong number.

SAME. Yet they call a dozen dam times a day everyday still. When you call back they say if you wish to leave a complaint press #2

They even called me at work. They said they are from Con-Serv

They called the security desk at my job claiming to work for my company's corporate office saying there was an emergency. When I called back in a panic the woman asked for my account number and I had to explain I had no account. Took me half an hour to get the company name out of them but they were determined I take out a loan to pay them.

Received a call from this number @ the office I'm a gatekeeper for. Unaccented female stated she was calling on a recorded line but did not identify herself or where she was calling from. She stated she may have the wrong number or extension then asked for someone who does not work here & hasn't in the 19 years I have. When informed there was no one here by that name, she hung up. CID only listed phone number & Toll Free Call.

called my work asking for me, and then tried to get me to give them my date of birth, and social security number. I asked what this was in regards to and they said due to federal laws they can't tell me and kept asking for social. I told them I was not giving them any information and they need to never call me again. She said that they have my cell number too and that I have to call them back tonight. 100% scam.

Well that is a debt collector and they are correct in stating that they cannot talk to you unless they can verify who they are talking to.  Conserve is also one of the four agencies approved to provide debt collection for the IRS.

They claim they cannot identify themselves, but request personal information and continually call you at your place of work. One of the several times I was able to get "ConServ" from them, but they would not give any other information, other than it being federal. If they cannot say much over the phone, I refuse to as well. I get too many scam-like calls to trust any of these.

This number just started calling me.

I've had debt collectors calling me the same as everyone else is stating even at work. When they finally called me at work the verified my first and last name, then the middle name they were looking for was not the same as mine. They then stopped calling.

My guess is that they are looking for someone with the same name as you and are just calling everyone in the phone book to try to collect. Very annoying though.
