Unkonwn caller left no message

caller tried to tell me she was a debt collector and I owed a medical bill from 2017. Since all of my medical expenses are paid thru Medicare I told her I have no outstanding medical bills, she sounded like a scammer and I hung up on her.

Same message! They sent me an invoice but I didn't go to the doctor anytime near that date given. Claimed to be a third party collecting agency.

Got a call claiming they were a collection agency and that I owed a 347.00 medical bill from 2017. Told her I was on Medicare with a Humana advantage plan and asked who the Dr. was and what lab was used that was out of network. She could not explain. I asked for an invoice and she said she would send one to my email address...and guess what? I have looked for it all day and it has never arrived. Asked her what company she represented and she said something like Global collections. THIS IS A SCAM and I will report it to my local police and they can pass it on to the proper authorities.

Email isn't a legal method of debt validation anyway. Nor are phone calls, texts or faxes. Only good old US mail.

Contacted in March 2019. Claimed to be a debt collector from a Diagnostic Agency. Since I have no medical debt and haven't had any diagnostic tests done before it has to be a scam.

Claim to be "Global Collection LLC", trying to collect a medical bill from 2017...............

Tell them to follow the law and mail you proof of the debt.
