Lauren called to interview for home health study from Department of Health - left message with this number but caller was from Plainfield, IN @ +1 (317) 203-8261.

Ignored Call. Received Voicemail. Played, "Alex from IDH to conduct survey on residents." Traced "855-276" to Virginia via AreaCodeHelp. Incident occurred 5/13/21 17:47 Eastern Standard Tine, Voicemail sent to Inbox immediately after.

Flag "1+(317)-276-3506" as Spam, Scam, Suspicion, Survey.

Report to local non-emergency outlets, document subsequent occurrences to monitor robocalling if flags fail to deter harrassment.

I contacted the Indiana State Department of Health - this is the response I received. I have redacted the respondee's name.

Received a call 6:32PM. Caller ID gives caller's number as 317-680-9535, and my Hiya app and cell carrier both flag it as potential spam.

Caller left voice mail saying "Hello, my name is David Santos. I am calling on behalf of the Indiana Department of Health to conduct an important study on the health of US residents. We will call again in the next few days to conduct the interview. If you have any questions, please call us toll free at 1-855-276-3506 at your convenience. Thank you."

When I googled the number it did not appear to be an Indiana Department of Health number, and I came across several reports of others getting similar calls.

Called me stating it was a survey with Indiana Department of Health with a survey. I told them I wasn’t interested and they said it was important and I repeated I was not interested and they said it was important again and I said I’m not doing it and hung up

Following voice mail message left on 6/9/22:  "Hello my name is Tracy. I'm calling on behalf of the Indiana Department of Health to conduct an important study on the health of US residents. We will call again in the next few days to conduct the interview. If you have any questions please call us toll free at 1-855-276-3506 at your earliest convenience."

Have received 3 calls from various Indiana phone numbers stating that it's the Indiana Dept of Health. When they leave a message, it's this 855 number as a callback. I answered one of them and told them I don't live in Indiana anymore, the lady said that didn't matter. She started asking yes or no demographic questions. I would not say the word yes, just "I am, it is, I do" and this seemed to irritate her. She then went into invasive health questions and I hung up. Glad now that I didn't talk to them further.

Said to expect a call in the future - they are gathering information on the health of residents for the Indiana Department of Health

She wont stop calling every day 2 and 3 times in one day from 7 am to 10 pm. same line of crap as all others on 1800 notes and says she will keep calling until her questions are answered. Block but still fills voice mail to fill.

Caller ID was 317-434-9805 -- some BS about a Health Survey. Wanted me to call back at this number I'm reporting -- 1-855-276-3506. Claimed to be Indiana Department of Health. Caller ID didn't match any IN Health Dept numbers. I've no doubt this is a SCAM!

Call from Indiana Department of Health received on a Sunday evening at 6:47 pm stating that they were doing a survey regarding health of US residents.  Cannot connect number they called from or the 855 call back number to Indiana Department of Health.  Feels like this is a scam.

Lots of confusion about calls from this number.  Call back does indeed get, "Hello, you have reached the Indiana State's Department of Health Behavioral Risk Factors Surveillance System or BRFSS survey verification line." It goes on to give options to learn more about the survey system, to take the survey or to be removed from the call list.  On their website, you'll find information about the survey and being removed from the list.  They also give the number of the Attorney General's Office if "you feel certain that someone is fraudulently claiming to collect data on our behalf."  Of course numbers can be spoofed but you may want to visit the website if you wish to participate in this survey.

I called indiana dept of healand got an option for reporting..... they put me on do not call list but I just got another call with an 855 number to call back... I did a search on it and l a need on this page. It was also listed a scam number

Today, I received a call (Voicemail message) from a local number (317.434.9889) and a few weeks ago, another from the same number.

Their exact message (very similar to those listed above):

"Hello, I'm calling on behalf of the IN Dept of Health to conduct an important study on the health of US residents. We will call again in the next few days to conduct the interview. If you have any questions, please call us toll-free at 1 855 276 3506 at your convenience. Thank you"

Thereafter, I called the IN Dept of Health directly and played the voicemail for them. After hearing it, they immediately thought it to be a scam. Before playing the VM, they checked to see if the local number matched any of their phone numbers. It did not.

They were rather sure that this is a scam.
