I received a text saying they were from the Snap program.. saying if I didn't apply for food assistance after the Hurricane because I was disabled and was unable to go and apply to Call them on May 2018 to apply for free food between the hours of 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm...The number was 855-278-7136

I Believe this is SCAM to try to get Disabled people's Information..

I received the same text, stating if your last name starts with A-C or W to call DCF at 1 800-278-7136 on May 19 between 9:00-2:00.  I called the local DCF number (561) 837-5078 and the worker stated she doesn't know anything about this. BE CAREFUL, call your local DCF office and inquire about this.

After further research; I found a lawsuit settlement which had been filed against DCF/D-Snap by the Community Justice Project. The date of the info from Community Justice Project is dated May 4, 2018. I received the texts the same day. To learn more go to communityjusticeproject.com/dsnap
