Called left message about an audit but did not say for what

called 3 times in an hour and left message about an audit for their customer and they needed a verbal response from me.  If I did not call back they would contact me at my employers address or my home.  When I called back it was a busy number continually.

I am an attorney and my client called me about a call from this number.  She told me they asked for her SSN and she wouldn't give it to them so they hung up.  She was concerned it might actually be a debt collector as she had filed for bankruptcy years ago.  I called; they were very abusive as I would not give them my bar number.  I hung up.  They called back and said they were "sending a locator to my house (with my address) and they told me they would contact my husband (by name) because I was pretending to be an attorney (I am one).  They said they were a company called Absolute.  When I asked absolute what, they were very abusive and rude.  They repeatedly said I "pretended to be an attorney" and that "all attorneys give us their bar number."  I hung up.  I've blocked their many numbers (they called back repeatedly from different ones; I let them go to voice mail).  Scam, scam, scam.

They called last year and gave a bogus Attorney office that is listed as a scam name.SCAM!

Got two calls from a number similar to this with the exact same description as others on this page. State that I was subject to an audit and put out some kind of number\code. My fault for answering but it was a recorded message. Stated his name was Brian Holloway or holiday Something like that.

This number called me demanding money for a supposed outstanding credit card from 12 years ago, claiming they would garnish my wages. They then asked me to confirm my place of work (so how could they garnish my wages?) and wanted my bank info. I did not give it to them because I had no idea what they were talking about and they said they would garnish my wages and hung up. TOTAL SCAM.

Big time scam.  They will call over and over but never can provide info. They just want your identity.  Dont give them anything.

They have called multiple times...being an actor I finally answered as my “attorney”. They immediately became hostile and angry and told me to stop threatening (which I was only saying I would take legal action if it continued) and then hung up. Complete scam. They try to goad you into giving information by saying the last four of your social number (which can be found anywhere by scammers after an online purchase).
