Gosh Sara, Michael said the callers identified themselves as "United Check Recovery" yet you somehow know that they're a "state agency". Without even knowing what state! Of course, you couldn't specify what state because Michael didn't say what state he lives in, so there's a 49-to-1 chance your lie would have been exposed right there.

Here's a hint: If any state agency uses a toll-free number that number *will* show up in a web search. 855-281-8101 doesn't show up at all.

I was called by the same person two days in a row now claiming that he was Greg Jenkins the first message & saying he was Daniel Kearney the second message.it was definitely the same voice .he claims to be a claims processor"working in conjunction with Pima county"says he was going over documents he just received in his office from checkmate for" a bad check I passed along"for $500 to checkmate for a payday loan & he's giving me 2 hours to let him know how I'm gonna handle this situation and wishes me good luck .I did have a payday loan but I paid it off in 2009 I believe this is a scammer with a tough guy voice probably sitting in a convenience store bathroom try to terrorize people to send him money.I ain't falling for it.I'm calling checkmate right now I'll let you know what I find out!

I personally haven't received a call from this number but everybody that I know seems to have. They (Mr.Jenkins) have called my friends and family saying there's a case against me in Miami, which I've never even been to Florida. And I have had the same cell number for over ten years but yet you can't call me directly and you call my friends and family threatening them that I will be served or arrested and action needed to be taken immediately.  Something isn't adding up. Please update us Dave after speaking with checkmate.
