They called me left a voicemail saying they have a location order and its a matter of public records and they need to contact my employer.  So I called them back and they Identified themselves as Allied Litigation and I talked with someone named Doug Elps.  Anyhow just research allied litigation and read all the scam on them.  I wont pay them unless they can prove something. Tired of scammers trying to intimidate money out of me.

A "compliance officer" called me to tell me to call this number because they are trying to locate my father because there was  a civil suit against him. Called the number and they told me that a judge has ordered a location order for my father and that it would eventually turn into a criminal case if not taken care of. Working in the law field, I asked them for the county case number and a copy of that order and they could not give it to me and that they were going to carry through with the case. This is a scam!

Rec'd a voice message from Doug Helms?? that there is a legal document regarding case file #####, and if I don't respond to 855-284-1258 and speak with their Legal Department because once it is discharged from their office, it will become public record and they will contact my employer and speak with my supervisor.  I have been legally notified by telephone!

Received a nasty phone message from someone calling themselves Doug Helms and he stated that he was filing a legal action against me or someone who has a first and last name like mine.  I tried to call them back and all I get is a busy signal or an answering machine stating to leave a message.

I got a message from Doug Helms -- stating the same message. I was notified by telephone and if I don't respond back, they will have me located.

Is this a scam? They called from a NO CALLER ID number then left that number to call back.

I will alert the FTC with this as well.

It's a scam. A very well known one. The calls are from foreign & domestic criminals trying to extort money out of Americans. The new mantra of American's should be "Show me the paperwork!".

I got the exact same message so I called the number back and asked for documents. He told me that he would not provide any docs and that if I didn't pay "today" I would be sued. Scam?

    Total scam.

Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

    1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
    2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
    3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  DIME  until the debt is validated.

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.

    If they are bothering you,

    Report them:

    http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

I've received the same calls from this "Helms" guy. He calls from a phone identifying him as having the same area code as I do. Seemed legit right? I tried returning his call but he never answers. I'm redirected to the 855 number. I called and left 5 messages but never received a call back from Allied Litigation. When I finally did reach someone at Allied, I asked if they received my message(s) and was informed that thier answering machine was down. Really??? Who uses an answering machine and further more, who uses an answering machine at a large company? These were red flags right away. I contacted my family attorney along with the Federal Trade Commission. These idiots have now started calling my family members as I no longer answer my phone. My parents received a phone call from "the IRS" saying they owed money. Coincidence?? Nope. Just another scam. The IRS will never call you.

My area code is 860, is that the same as yours. Just trying to see if they match. I no longer in that area though, so that makes the call even weirder for me.

This is still going on. My wife has been plagued by repeated calls from Doug Helms and William Crowder.  Doug represents himself as a compliance officer for the state of Ga Locations.  They claim there is a loan taken out by one of my family members for 3000 under false pretenses, while she worked for Georgia Power (she never did) and the 1000 % verified that it is her and the money was deposited in a bank of america account (which doesn't exist).  The scary part is they have name, address, social and other information.  I've reported them to the FCC for phone fraud, my local police and working on the State Attorney's office.   Same as above, they gave 844-563-8318, a court case  and mentioned Allied was the law firm.

On Friday December 11 I received a call from 208-789-0280, someone stating he was a compliance officer and mentioned the name "Allied".  First he asked for my husband, who died a year ago, and then started saying I need to call this number 844-649-7735 to talk to someone in the "Legal Department", giving a case number. I asked him what this was about and he would not give me an answer, just kept babbling on about how I need to call that number. In the background it sounded like there was a party going on, lots of hooting and hollering and some guy yelling, "Now, THAT'S what I'm talking about!" Lots of laughter.  The guy who called me was still babbling on and trying to use intimidating language, so I again asked, "What is this about?" He would not give me an answer, just repeated that I should call that number, so I said, "Look, there are scams going out over the phone every day. How do I know who you are and why you are calling?" The guy got even more persistent after that so I said, "I just got out of surgery [true], I'm tired, I have to hang up now."
So I hung up, he called back and left a message, a long, rambling one, threatening me for "hanging up on a compliance officer!"  And all the rest of the B.S.

The scammer called me again today, but recognizing the phone number, I did not pick up.  He left a voicemail, identifying himself as "Doug Helms".  He said he was contacting me regarding the case being filed through the Ada County courts. He left this long message:  "I've tried to reach out to you several times. At this point in time I have no other choice but to get you processed and located to be served for the dates to appear in court."  He then stated that I would be served on the premises of my job, "so I am also going to be speaking with the owner there on location just to make sure that they are aware that this is set to occur on the premises of your business. Also, I've been documenting in your file for someone to contact you so the courts will be able to see I've done my job and you will not be able to claim that you had no prior knowledge of your case being filed. Also, you have the legal right to provide the information to the law office, to your legal counsel, if you have any, only up to the point of being served if you wish to avoid any additional penalties. Uh, providing that telephone number again on this voicemail just in case it has been misplaced so that can prevent any room for excuses on that end. Telephone number is 844-649-7735. It also states that you will need to speak directly with their legal department, and this is considered to be your legal notification by telephone."

I wonder how many more times he'll call?  I will keep a record of each call.

this guy "doug helm" has been at this a week harassing everyone in my family and calling me at work. He always wants me to call 1(855)329-6885 so they can tell me that I owe them $2100 on a payday loan I never took out. I am tired of this the company at the 855 number identifies themselves as allied litigation although they can provide no information about their company or location. It is obviously a scam and I can't wait till they put these [***] in jail.

Let 'Doug Helm's' calls go completely unanswered by those he's bothering and see what happens. You'll give yourself a chance of getting him tired of calling numbers that have no kind of answer. 'Doug' will probably get mad if his chances of ripping somebody off lessen if he's got nobody taking his calls.
