This number is connected to a scam. They state they are from "Legal Services" and will try to get your name. Do not give your name. They will call any number you may have, even your job and say their is a case against you and leave a number for you to call so you don't have to show up "in court". Beware

They claim to be representing Best Buy. They threatened me at my job & threatened all kinds of things. Got $1000. from me. I would love to know IF there is any way of getting it back.

They called me from a blocked number stated that they were going to personally deliver some legal documents to me for a law firm. They gave me this contact number and a case number and asked me to check in with them.  We called back, but figured out this is a scam! Beware...

They rep HSBC card services. The minute I was on the phone with the girl who said they were taking me to court and asked if I wanted to pay the balance, I knew something was up. If your taking me to court, why do you want money now? I asked if they were a debt collector or law firm. Was put on hold…than a man got on and I clearly asked him for their website and creds as it is HIGHLY illegal to say you are a law firm when in fact you aren't. It's fun to mess with them though since they do the same to you. Ask them all kinds of questions and they get flustered…If its already been filed in court why do I need to pay you now? How do you spell Levy Dono Witz? (They give you a different spelling every time) Whats your website? (Its down for repair at the moment) They've even called friends and family. Inform them how HIGHLY illegal it is to claim you are a law firm when in fact you are a debt collector. Oh, and supposedly I owe them way more than the original debt. SCAMMERS!

Report the fraud to your bank and dispute as defective/not as described or report to your credit card company.  The same happened to me this past week with fake company Levy, Donowitz, &Associates phone # 855-277-4359 caller Ms Kalaspie.

This 855- 292- 5070 is a scam!! Next time he or she calls ask him/her for the name, their SSI # their address name of children and tell instead you should sue them. They are a complete scammer. Don't let them scare you...

This is a fake debt collector scam! They claim to be a law firm " Levy, Donowitz, and Associates" or some variation of that name. Look it up, it does not exist! always check websites, addresses, phone numbers, and NAMES of people asking for you credit card info! They tried to take me for $800!!!!!!!  Mine was also for HSBC card services.. Just be a current or former employee.. Someone who knows the debt collection process!

This is the second time that I've been called.  The first time it was a guy looking for my daughter.  He said that he was from Verification Services and that he needed to get a statement from my daughter regarding a case involving our property.  He gave a case number and phone number to call.  He ends the voice message by saying "You have been notified".  The second time I got called, it was a woman looking for my daughter's roommate.  She stumbled trying to correctly state the name she was calling for.  Then she said that she was from Verification Services and needs to deliver legal documents regarding a case filed against her.  She also gave a case number and phone number.  By the way, I never answer a call when the caller id says "Unknown" or something similar.  Almost always a scam!  Sorry to hear about all the people who actually got scammed by these idiots.

They called me on my cell, and have NEVER announced they are a law firm nor a collection agency, but they every  time tell me to call the Agent immediately at the 855 number. They told me they would be delivering certified documents to my current employer address (which was my old employer) I said no I wont be there and hung up. They keep calling with Name Unavailable.  A couple times a nasty younger sounding girl, the last few times, a threatening male voice, possible ethnic , "demanding me to listen to his final warning call. They said I need to call and charges would be filed against me and I would never know. I'm assuming is one old creditor. But they have never stated who they are or who the agent is so I have yet to call the 855 number. The oldest thing on my credit that is not paid is so old it's past the statute of limitations to collect. They have now have called me a dozens of times on my cell, my previous employer, and now at my current employer a dozen times telling me they were coming between 11-2 and my boss has to sign witness papers- we never left for lunch and then never came. They then called my boss directly at my work and told her yesterday she had to be present while they "served me" and sign papers. We both stayed and they never came. One phone message was they I could even call the number and reschedule being served! Yesterday they called to say they had been unsuccessful in deliverying me certified documents to "such and such address" . I hadnt been there since in almost 20 years.

Having done reverse look up on the phone number again in my voice message box at work- look what I find. Thanks everyone for posting your comments so I we all can find the right authorities to call and complain of the scam. FBI or NSA? There already listening already- job should be too hard prove.

I got served today at work! I don't know what to do. I waited for the documents at home twice they never came. Today right before lunch my manager called me up to the front office to my surprise two guys showed up with documents had me and my manager sign for them. What can I do? Anyone been receive documents at work yet?

These people are harrasing me trying to delivery me some  "certified" documents, from the verification division.  They keep telling they are coming to "serve" me , certified documents and never come... but they love calling and demanding I call the 855 number! This time they called from a landline in Las Vegas 702-728-5873. The women told me I had to call the issusing agent (at the 855 number)  for a legal claim out of my county (which is a thousand miles from Las Vegas) and I had to call the 855-292-5070 number.
What kind of case- civil, family?? She didnt know, you have to call.  I said what's your address- 2300 W Sahara Ave #600 Las Vegas NV 89102.  I said what's the main land line number- she couldnt give it to me, flustered, she said she was transferring me to the legal department.

Google 2300 W Sahara Ave #600. It's a virtual exective office suites building. What that means is that it's meant  to look like you have an office, but you don't. Its for appearances only to look like your a successful business if someone came to your office, and to have a mailing address. Of course you wouldnt be sitting in that desk unless you paid a fee to actually sit in the space for a specific appointment time. You can pay to have your calls answered by a buildings receptionist to take messages, and receive mail. It's not a functioning office. They start at $50 a month for a virtual office and they will collect your mail and hold it for you.

These people trying to get money out of you its a scam dont fall for that there is no law firm they are probably professionals that somehow get a hold of your relatives or family members to scare people if you have a case the court house will mail it to you or it will be delivered by a person or a sheriffs  officer to your door

They have been calling my cell, my friend, my nepher's wife's dad, sometimes a woman or a man threatening to deliver legal documents to serve me and they say they are from Levy Donowitz Associates a law firm and that I am to contact them right away and they even give a case mumber and that they end by saying that you have been notified.  My friend called them back but they told him that they can't discuss with him.

Can someone please find out who these people are?  They are destroying people's life.  Don't they have conscience.  Can't we report them to the FBI?  What can we do about it?  Amyone, please help!!!! Thank you

No one gets a heads up they'll be served a court summons - the process server just shows up, unannounced.  These people are either outright scammers or junk debt buyers who don't care if you've already paid the debt or if you even owe it to begin with.  They call and harass people since intimidation is very effective at getting people to pay bogus debts.  

Please do report your callers to the FTC, FBI and your state's Attorney General.  Record all calls they make to you and keep a log of the dates and times they call.  Do tell them you've reported them and you know they're scammers.  Don't let their BS scare you into paying money or making any kind of payment arrangement.  If your callers were in compliance with federal law, they would have no problem mailing proof of debt to you.  They would not be threatening you either.

Look, if you really were going to be sued, you would have first received dunning letters in the mail.  That would have been your cue to mail a demand (via certified mail/return receipt) for a debt validation letter showing that you owe the debt and that your caller has the legal right to collect said debt.  Refusal to MAIL this documentation is a violation of the FDCPA.  Per the FDCPA, you should NOT pay any caller who refuses to mail a debt validation letter to you.  Threatening you with a court summons (when they have no intention of actually taking you to court) is also a violation of the FDCPA.  And it's also illegal to tell you that you've been "notified" via email, fax, phone or voice mail.

A guy from a private number called My house today. Asking if I was So and So. I said yes. Asked If I was at this address. I told him I do not give out that info over the phone. He said I know you are. Then asked for My boyfriend by name. I asked why do you ask. He said it was a legal matter and cannot give out info. I hung up on him. I then got a message from My Mom. A guy name Micha from phone number 702-728-5873 called her house looking for us. Saying we could be in big trouble. She too hung up on him. I am so sick of these scammers. Something needs to be done about this.

Micah called me and my daughter about a matter concerning me and my husband. he said a law suit was pending because my husband owed money on a vehicle ( 4 wheeler) actually he told them to come and get it because the interest went up to 26%. so Micah called and said he was represented by Levy Donaweitz and Associates and they needed to settle this matter before it went to court. he said the law suit had already been flied. He had so much information about personal assets and I must say I was shocked! they called from 702 522 1829
