I received a call from them saying there is a claim against me from All Star Payday Loans. I've never heard of them nor the company that's calling saying they've received the claim - Paramount Recovery Group.  They are rude and try to get your credit card information and threaten to sue you if you don't pay. I'm not familiar with lawsuits but I don't think they give you warnings if they want to take you to court do they?  I wish I had a good lawyer friend to scare the bejesus out of them. If I could figure out who/where they were, I would file a class action suit against them!

Recd a call from a Shawn Smith to call this number-called it and it was for a "returned check" for all star-said they I was going to court, he would not fax a cease and desist order over to this shawn smith, Paramount hung up on me

This place has no idea about statute of limitations or the no threatining messages allowed on a phone.  Called and told them to stop.

I agree these people should be arrested for their illegal practices. Found this with the NEW YORK STATE corporation and filings website. After they called and threatened me with court and jail, i found all their information.

... I have never even heard of "ALL STAR PAYDAY LOANS"...i believe they are making up this stuff to try and STEAL YOUR MONEY! Call the Attorney General in New YORK as well as your personal attorney if you are getting these calls!

I got a call from these people as well, stating they were litigation preparing to sue me. They stated I walked into this All Star Payday place and took out a loan back in Maryland in July of 2006. I didn't even live in Maryland in 2006 much less walk into this place. I've never heard of them! He was rude, wanted my social security number and payment. When I told him I didn't owe this and wasn't even there in 2006, he went on a rant about me walking into this store with my ID and borrowed money, and now I not only owed it but would be responsible for court and legal costs. Then he said he wasn't going to bother with this and hung up! Jerk!

I was scammed by this person as well.  Same pattern as everyone else.  Payday loan debt, threaten to sue, said they would send a judgement (you don't get warnings of judgements, you get served).  I feel pretty stupid.  Filed a BBB complaint and then I will file a police report.

My exwife received a call today from this number about my current wife. Were EXTREMELY rude and would hang up on me when I called to find out what the call was about.

These people keep calling me saying I was listed as an emergency contact for my brother and that they would only stop calling me if I provided them with an alternate number. HA! I told them I don't have an alternate number and to stop. Told me they didn't have to stop. When I asked for the company name, he said "why would I give that to you if you won't give me what I need"  Rude, asinine jerk! Called my phone company and set it up so restricted numbers can't get through anymore.

This guy called and threatened me, impersonated a Harris County Sheriff office and said I was worthless because I wouldn't pay my debts off. First of all, I don't owe this company anything. I've never heard of them before. I called him back and left him a voicemail stating it was a federal offense to impersonate a Sheriff. He called me back and I answered one time, he was rude and I told him to f*ck off and that he was a tiny penised jerk, then I blocked his calls. Next day I get a follower on instagram that had no pictures. Um, jerkface, I know it was you. I made my instagram private. Suck on that scammers.

Calls on a restricted number and try to ruffle your feathers will try to locate people in your family and discredit your name.  Please repor to Better Business Bureau:

Block all restricted calls, and advise caller you will report them to the local police department for harassement if they do not stop calling you.  A Bunch of crooks is what they are.

I found this thread from googling "Paramount Litigations"
I received a voicemail from a restricted number.  Supposedly a compliance officer looking for someone with a case number, instructing to call back 8774502030 and speak with the legal department litigation officer.  I called the number back and they picked up saying "legal department".  I asked the name of the company and they said "Paramount Litigations".  I asked for the address and they refused, asking if I had a case number.  I asked for their name and location and they refused and hung up.

I received quite a few calls from 877-690-4209 requesting that I pay them over the phone for a pay day loan that i never incurred - i asked them for documentation and they were extremely rude and hostile and told me i would see the legal documents in court, then they hung up on me- i called back to ask for an address and the gentleman said that they don't give it out for security reasons
i asked him for more information and he proceeded to get angry and hung up

Absolutely try this at home.
When this company called my # looking for my estranged husband of many years I flipped the script on them!  I explained that I haven't had contact in many years but I have been looking for him & do they think he's still alive? Where do they think I might find him?.,How long ago did my husband take out this loan? How much? Who is litigating against him?  They hung up on me but I wasn't finished with them yet.
I called back being an even more enormous pain in the ASS!  I got ahold of the same person who hung up on me & they snarled " I never talked to you" . So I just played along & started asking the same dumb questions again & asked them if they could help me find him. "Well
Check the death records , I'm busy".
I pleaded with desperation in my voice
"I have checked.& he's not there!
What else can I do? "
They answered "Try Birth records I'm busy "
So I answered "Hey that's a good idea! Can you give me that #? "
Then they answered " If you don't know where he's at we'll just remove your name from the contact information. ...I got work to do Ma'am "
& hung up on me again.
Dang that felt GOOD! I Will be very surprised if they call me again.

I had some pay day loans from years ago like over ten.   But I filed for bankruptcy and now they are calling me saying I owe all this money but I never received any correspondence via email or mail

Call a member of my household must googled phone number attached to your name almost gave that person a heart attack.
