been getting calls from the last month, had taken a few payday loans back in 2008-09 and i was almost certain i paid them all off. been getting threatening calls saying the same thing and also from 2 other companies, all saying i was going to be served unless i called back to issue a stop.

not sure weather to pay or not because i am almost positive i paid the loans in question, also being told i had a bank one checking account that i NEVER opened or had.

Its really frusterating and can be scary, which im sure is their goal. had to fight to get a company name and adress in december, after which he yelled at me accusing me of stealing and calling me names. any real "legal" service would not tell you that there was someone coming to serve you, and when they did threaten in december, i did not pay and did not receive any more calls till last week, like they had never spoken to me before. I am not going to pay, and am currently seeking legal advice on this matter.

Theyre scam artists. I went thru this a few months ago regarding a different number. They are buying your info from a past collection that you may or may not have paid off and trying to collect on it. They are not licensed or legit bill collectors by any means, and can be sued for their illegal activities. They will never serve you with "papers". Thats just a scare tactic to get you to pay them money quickly before they get shut down and open up another 877 or 855 number and continue.

The "debt" is not owned by these people. Otherwise they would follow the law when it comes to contacting you and representing themselves as a legit debt collector. Having someone call you and not identifying themselves, or telling you theyre going to serve you with "papers", or not letting you know that "this is an attempt to collect a debt..." should set off a few alarms that it is a scam.

If anyone calls you and refers you to this number, I suggest finding out who is originally owed the money and contact them directly. They will tell you who you should contact from there, and I can guarantee you that it wont be these scam artists.

Know who youre giving your money to before you set up payments out of fear and threats. No one will EVER serve you papers with advance notice. If its legit, theyll just find you and serve you. Thats how it works

Heres a link to some more info and some of that is pasted below: http://www.fdcpalawyeronline.com/

    Debt collectors may not:

Use threats of violence or harm against the person, property, or reputation
Publish a list of consumers who refuse to pay their debts
     Use obscene or profane language
Repeatedly call on the telephone to annoy and without identifying themselves
     Advertise your debt
     Falsely imply that they are attorneys or government representatives;
Falsely imply that you have committed a crime
Falsely represent that they operate or work for a credit bureau

Illegal Actions of a debt collector include:

Calling you at work and knows that it is inconvenient or that your employer disapproves or forbids it.
A debt collector knows that an attorney, whose contact information is known or is easy to locate, represents you and the debt collector continues to contact you.
Debt collectors can only communicate with other people to obtain contact
Misrepresenting the amount, character, or legal status of a debt
Communicating false credit information about you
Refusing to honor your dispute or cease communication rights
Threatening to take your property or garnish your wages without a court order (judgment).
     Intimidating you, AND your family
Endangering your reputation, or your property
     Using profane or obscene language
Painting the Debt and credit issues are matters of criminal law while in actuality it is civil law
Tricking you into accepting charges for collect calls, telegrams, or a C.O.D
Attempting to cash a post-dated check before the date written on the check
Claiming to be an attorney or sends a letter made to look like it is from an attorney when he is not an attorney
Sending a letter that is made to look like a government or court document when it isn't

    You can sue:

You may have the right to sue a collector in a court of law. If you win, you may recover money for the damages you suffered and, in certain jurisdictions, you may recover statutory damages. In addition, court costs and attorney's fees may also be recovered.

    You can report to the office of your state attorney general and the Federal Trade Commission;

Report any problems you have with a debt collector to the office of your state attorney general and the Federal Trade Commission. Many states have their own debt collection laws and your state attorney general can help you determine your rights. In addition, you may contact a local attorney to determine your legal options regarding an alleged FDCPA violation.

ESR Agency was sued multiple times for illegally collecting false debts and the corporation dissolved  on Jan 25th 2012.
With the money he scammed out of hard working people , Ronald Brantley Jr. opened a Bar called Blush Nightclub & Lounge , located at 1389 Delware Ave, Buffalo, NY .
His father, Ronald Brantley Sr., got a real job as an alcohol and substance abuse counselor.
Jacqueline Brantley is either pouring drinks at her Jr's bar or contemplating where she went wrong in life.

Back to James A Nelms the III , He's an ex-convict who doesn't care how or from whom he gets his money. He has children from at least 2 different women, one of which took his name James Nelms , I (guess that would make him the 4th). That James Nelms may be living in North Carolina , he's also in the “collections” business like his Big-Daddy. This crap runs in the blood cause James A Nelms III 's little brother  Michael Nelms also has his own collections company based out of  his home in Atlanta Georgia called :

    TRISTATE FINANCIAL
    ENTERPRISES, LLC
    4378 RAINER DRIVE
    Atlanta GA 30349
    Fulton County

This explains why he's calling from a Georgia phone #. I guess scamming pays off big time. You should Google that address, he goda real perty house.

I suggest you verify the information that I've provided you with and then call them up and pull a Rumpelstiltskin on them.

it seems someone's feeling got hurt.  you did alot of work to find all this info, and its completely wrong from top to bottom.  these company names and these people have no connection at all to this company.

this is whats wrong with the internet.  idiots with no proof of anything can make wild statements about things that arent true, then get bigger idiots to belive this crap.

solution to debt issues is very simple.  PAY YOUR BILLS and dont try to steal cash or credit from any entity trying to help you.  If your a theif and a lowlife that doesnt pay their bills, how dare you complain someone is calling you like your a little child to get the money back.  there shouldnt be ANY laws that dictate how to handle theives who dont pay.  do that crap to someone in the street and see how your dealt with.

Hey I just recieved the same call but from this number, 678-905-6393.
they had my bank account info from 2007 and said that I had requested a loan through Debt Doctor. I dont remeber them at all. And they told me they were with gna or g and a legal services that I only needed to pay a certaian amount and that If it wasnt paid by the end of today I would have a warrent out for my arrest and I have Five felonies pending for aout of state check fraud. I Called the number back and they didnt answer, they were asked to provide me with bills and copies of my checks and they havent. I pay all of my bills and They also said they were from ga. I am not paying it unless I actually recieve something stating I have to pay it by the police. Plus why would they wait five years to press charges with no contact and why wouldnt there be nsf fees and also interest fees on it. Doesnt make since, then didnt even ask my bday or to verify any information.

Guess what?!?! These companies are not legitimate most of the time. They buy your information from companies and then try to convince you that you owe a debt. I took a payday loan out online and that was my mistake. These online payday loan companies sell your information. I am SICK of people thinking that these companies harrass peoople who have not paid their debts. It is NOT true. YOU need to check out your facts before making a fool out of yourself. This payday loan scam is big and has been reported to the attorney general's office. I have reported several of them myself.
