It gives me the creeps they have called before and other numbers saying they were Shaw and were not

This number called me twice this week and in both times when I answered the person hangup.  I could hear him or her breathing. so I call this number from a different phone. The computer generated voice said it is shaw. I'm a shaw customer but why they would call and don't talk

Got a call too. Called back shaw bla bla bla. Seriously if it was important , or if it was legit, why does it say united states on the caller id ? Strange .

With the help of call spoofing, they can make most anything appear on your caller ID, including numbers.

Got a called on December 11, 2015, at 1:51. I'm in Canada, said it was from United States. Didn't answer. No voicemail left.

THis number called. Few nights ago. They left a long message  prob thought they hung up. Heard one guy name was Sean. Prob three male voices in total, and a female from what I can hear thru the muffle. Sounded like they were on computer looking at stuff together. Weird.

Just replied, " Go to hell"

This number keeps calling.  We do not answer 800, 855, 866 numbers.  I was curious and called it back.  It is Shaw Customer Service.  I hung up but I think I might answer the next time and tell them to stop calling us.  We are already customers and do not need any upgrades or whatever!!

Have received a few calls from this number over the course of a few months.  Fishy, as it is always about 7 or 8pm.  Interesting seeing as Shaw Cable closes shop around 430pm or so.

This leaves 2 likely options :

This is a bad business practice by Shaw and they are outsourcing their pushy sales reps overseas trying to burn the midnight oil, so to speak.  (I doubt it, though)

2nd one which is highly likely is that it is an individual unassociated with Shaw trying to get personal information from you.

For the younger or inexperienced folks out there, bear in mind YOU NEVER HAVE TO GIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION TO SOMEONE COLD-CALLING YOU.  This is poor business ethics and you have every right to stand your ground and deny information.

Be careful, as it is getting easier and easier for online hackers to acquire phone numbers of individuals, and use it against them.

Practice common sense, and you will be fine.

I didn't answer, but they left no message.

855-294-7429 called at 6:58 PM very muffled voice almost like he was standing far away from the phone. Then after 5 seconds the call got dropped like I lost reception or something. Caller ID said it was a United States phone number, I'm in Canada.

this # called me and hung up as soon as I said hello, guessing it's a scam to get you to call an overseas # for 100$ a min.

repeated calls between 17:00 and 19;:00- male voice- do not recognize, hang up.can not block call.

Get calls from this number and a few others similar. If it is shaw they can F/O. Worthless useless thieving kiniving low life's. Most crappy service I've ever had with empty promises of "we can fix the service in a flash" hard le$$on learned.
