Got this  bait and switch post card today June 12th 2013 saying we had received a complimentary
8 day cruise on Royal Caribbean Dream from Ft Lauderdale to Nassau then St Thomas US/VI.  Another scam posting site brought to light the small print of this scam postcard; call for complete details of rebate participation.  customer is responsible for minor taxes and processing.
Apparently the bait is the cruise the switch is that you have to listen to a presentation and buy
into a travel club for thousands of dollars.  This scam offering should be exposed for the fraud that it is
and the sender punishable under the fullest extent of the law.  The Sender works out of Tampa and mails
under Tampa FL permit#78.   let's all track this Tampa permit #78 and put this perpetrator out of business forever.

They are back!  This time it is NOT a post card, but something that looks like a CHECK.

It is in one of those 'fold up' types of letters (tear the sides, slide finger), and it appears to be printed on actual CHECK stock.  It has 'Norwegian's Cruise Lines' logo on it and is pretty authentic.

That is until you look at the MICR numbers on the bottom -- they are NOT printed in the correct font.  On the back of the bogus check is an endorsement line, and then all the blurbage about this being a 'fun way to promote our services'.

According to the scam on the back, the company is called IIG Promotions.  This is actually a fictitious name in FL and is actually registered to Infinity Incentive Group 349 Lake Havasu Ave S #104 Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.  I can find no record of their supposed 'Seller of Travel' registration number (37367).  The AZ address appears to be nothing more than a mail drop.  The registration was signed by Kathryn Felke.

I got the same fake check scam in the mail today.  Typical scam.  Make you a great "free" offer, then use high pressure sales tactics to get you to sign up for a travel club or time share opportunity.  And if you read the fine print, the airfare is awarded after you take the cruise and the $100 in gas is doled out at $25 a month.  And with all the restrictions, plus the guest will probably never get on a cruise ship unless they pay the government fees, taxes, upgrades and surcharges.  Bet there isn't a single spot that doesn't require some type of upgrade.

Received a check look alike for a free cruise today. Thanks to prior posts, I will not waste my time calling or being taken.  As always, if it sounds too good to be true than it isn't.

Post card promising a cruise to fancy places, the moon, Mars, and Jupiter, well OK, not the last few places, but typical scam to call 855-298-0503 within 48 hours for a cruise, but in this case they are offering Norwegian. Sure, I will be right there....
