Unidentified foreign-sounding woman called to "inform" me of "hacking activity on my computer network". She wanted me to download some product or other to block the hacking. Having received various similar calls, I know it is a scam and the caller is hoping to gain access to my computer for malicious purposes.
I asked for the company name and phone number "so my husband could call back" and they stated they represented Global Tech Solutions, out of Austin, TX and have a callback number as 1-855-299-1710.
A cursory internet search yields no results for a company with that name in Austin, TX.
Do not fall for this scam.
