Called my son looking for me.  Said that a carrier was trying to find me to deliver a sealed document.  When i called the number back they said that iI owed Chase Bank a large amount of money, but were unabls go give me any details on this loan. Asked for my debit card number and security code or my bank routing number and this could be cleared up today.  A SCAM

Called my son looking for me. I got the number from my son and returned the call. The man who answered, said he was customer service for a company called Philmore Davis.  He said that I owed Chase Bank a large some of money and their courier would be coming to serve me civil papers if i didnt give him my debit card number along with my security code or my bank routing number to settle this immediately.  I told him to send his courier on to my house and if he could tell me what time they would arrive that I would make sure I was waiting for them along with my sheriff.  He then started screaming at me calling me a welfare [***] and hung up.  THIS IS A SCAM.

I just got the same call from a Tim Reed on my voice mail. The statement was that there is a pending claim with your name and S.S I would like to call you and let you know before you are served papers. This was yesterday and this morning.

Real process servers do NOT warn you that they are coming!

Got a letter in the mail from this place. Its real. A debt from 09 I stopped paying because of my divorce. Called it got a voicemail. No documents delivered yet though????? Confussed.

Then please do post up the legal business name, street address and website, if any - should be right there on the letter!

Received a message  for someone not me .................called the number left informed them IT was a wrong number was told they would remove my number.

Message left on my phone for a donna ................no clue who that is who is using this number?

Same story here, only i called from my Attorney 's office he listened to the entire conversation, my Attonery then called the State Attonery he is taking care of the matter.

I pray this is true! I was up all night worried about this!

Returned Mr.Reeds call, because he stated he was a courier with forms regarding a claim being filled against me. To make myself available between 9am-5pm to sign for them and have a DL for Id. And as a curtesy he was leaving me the # of the Co to inquire about the complaint. I called this am. &  was told I was being charged with Defrauding Chase Bank & something like failure to pay for goods he made it sound like a theft charge. Over a Visa card I quit paying on ( I have never delt with Chase Bank EVER!) Then he named off some other Comp. I didn't recognize & said I made payments till 2008 then nothing! That's all he would say. Then gave me an astranomical amount I owed! I have never had a credit card with a limet over $500 he said those were intrest charges. I couldn't afford to give anyone nearly $10,000 let alone $100 right now! He said I will talk to the Attonery and see if they will stop the court process and make arrangements since this wasn't an intentional Fraud. He came back with a final payment below $1,000, my father said this is an illegal corse of action to collect a debt that is over 7yrs old by a third party collection agency and to report them. Then left a loaded gun here & locked all the doors. Told me to never allow people to intimate me! He is contacting our Attonery. He said let them proceed with their action, because they have broken the law and praised me for recording all communication with them.

Relax.  This is most likely just a debt collection scam.  Someone is trying to scare some money out of you. Ignore and block the calls.

Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  DIME  until the debt is validated.

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

Got the exact same spiel about a debt my husband supposedly had from 2001. No such account ever existed. He said statute had not run out, but if we stopped paying in 2008, it most certainly did as it is only 6 years here. I really hope their "server" stops by. I will be waiting with the police on speed dial. People are such jerks.

same thing happened to me he said his name was James O'Keefe on the voice message and when I called him he said his name was Joseph Barnes

got a phone call from this guy...would not give me his name said I was about to be served with court documents...i told him that I had a lawyer named Saul Goldstein........he better call him

A person by the name of Micharl Flairs called looking for my sis, saying he was looking for here trying to drop off a sealed envelope. And she could reach him at 844 576 2520 and he supposedly had her ssn. If she didnt contact him he would be at her house so i called the number wondrring why they had ny phone and not hers turns out it came from you guessed Philmore Davis. [***] stop SCAMMING PEOPLE and no i will not have her call you back [***]
