I didn't know what to do so I went along with them until the end then it dawned on me. Please tell me that they can't do anything to my computer because they helped from their office.

They claim to be Microsoft tech support and that they are fixing viruses on your computer do not give credit card info. SCAM SCAM SCAM they try to also get you to connect remotely to their connection so they can fix the problem but it is just a ploy to get your information

They told me that they were Microsoft Tech Support as well. I didn't give them any information as it sounded like a scam to me. I asked them for their contact information and got their number (1-855-300-0820). Do not give out any information to them, not even your name!

They called today.  Said they were from Microsoft security, but no number on the caller ID.  
Asked them for a number to call back as my phone was dying.  855-300-0820
They said there was a problem with my Windows computer, and I knew that was a lie as we use Unix machines here.

The sad news is that once they've gotten into your computer, they can do it again at any time.

Just received the call -- he claimed he was from the 'Computer Expert Company' or something like that.  I told him that he was in violation of the do not call list.  He said that they received word that my computer is having issues and I called him a liar, and told him that was impossible.  I asked for him to repeat his company name for me (to report him) and he (shockingly) hung up on me.
