- Kasey| 4 repliesanother robocall from a "computer virus" scammer. These are obviously spoofed numbers and probably from offshore so the "do not call" list is useless for these. Call your representative and demand the phone companies block all robo/spam calls. They can do it in minutes but make too much money on calls that harass us all!

- Annoyed AgainRansomware scam. Caller ID: 1-855-300-1577. Robo voice says "...have been expired. All services on your computer will be stopped. To be reinstalled call our toll free number..." You are supposed to call them so they can walk you through installing their malicious code on your computer.

- Repoman| 1 replyCaller left a broken message to callback their number. I did *67 return call and a strong accent voice of India or general area answered, "Microsoft Corporation, how may I help you". I was muted on my phone as he continued to say "hello, anyone there". With nothing else to occupy time, I returned the favor and called them repeatedly, back-to-back, numerous times. He answered each time but eventually made no response and would hang up his end. Maybe I got on his nerves too. As others mentioned, the law should state 'no solicitation calls and absolutely no robocalls unless requested by the recipient', subject to severe fines and imprisonment. Now these Asians and other foreign persons are getting local numbers to call you so that it sounds like it may be a neighbor.

- Tygerkat replies to RepomanJust FYI, *67 doesn't work when you're calling a toll-free number.
As for any law stopping scammers, that would be a miracle. Like all criminals, scammers ignore the law. - MarieI also called this number back after a hang up call. It was the same guy as last week, but now he is using a different number. Very frustrating.
- Nice Guy replies to Kasey| 3 replies"Call your representative..." What representative where and how?
Is there a crime here, and if so, why are the criminals vigorously sought out, prosecuted, and sent to jail if convicted? Because nobody cares, that's why. - post pending moderator approval
- Tygerkat replies to Nice Guy| 1 replyQuestion: how would criminals calling from overseas be prosecuted and jailed by anyone here in the US?
