This stupid number has now called me twice would not even answer me at all and I said hello 3 or 4 times I would not trust this number dont even answer them

I recieved a call from this number as well and it was AmeriHealth Mercy.  Hope this helps!

Last summer (2012) my insurance went out of the health insurance business.  They directed us clients to pick one of four recommended health insurers.  I went with Amerihealth Mercy because my primary care doctor and a specialist I use both accept Amerihealth Mercy.  

A few weeks before the deadline for picking a managed care insurer arrived, I called the number in the paperwork from my old insurer.  This number was supposed to sign me up for Amerihealth Mercy.  The person at that number asked me a lot of questions, some of which I refused to answer.  After the questions were finished, I asked if I was officially signed up.  I was told that I still had to call Amerihealth Mercy.  

It seemed that someone, on behalf of my old carrier, the State of Pennsylvania, was collecting information on my health for who knows what purpose?  Will a list be made available to scammers, con-artists or legitimate businesses that have no right to my medical information?  I only gave up some information because I thought I was in contact with my new health insurance company.  I'm so glad I stopped answering questions when I did.  

Since that phone interview I've begun getting a flood of mail, much of it on health related matters as well as people trying to SELL me tacky items that guarantee health, wealth and people who will pray for me.  Prior to that phone call I had managed to cut my junk mail to a trickle.

I got two voice mail about "they need to actualize medical insurance information for my children". I call my children insurance about this and they say that no one make a call,and no one ask information over the phone when they call. So I call this people and told them that my insurance never call me , and insist to you asking one way or other trying to trick you.

I've gotten two calls from this number in the past month.  When I search the number online i find that it is the contact number for the EPSDT (Child care) branch of a Health Care provider named AmeriHealth Caritas.  Prior to these calls I had never heard of the company.  When I answered the phone, an automated message tells me that they are calling with an urgent message from my health care provider.  That I MUST stay on the line for safety and security reasons.  They send me to an operator who has answered both times with some variant of "Thank You for calling AmeriHealth Caritas, this is Jennifer, how can I help you?"  After informing the operator that it was in fact THEM who called ME, she began asking me questions such as my name and what phone number I was called on.  I refused to give any information as I have never heard of this company.  Be careful about giving information to anyone on this number.
