- Strong accentCalled me today twice. First left no message. Second I answered was a thick accent mispronounced my name wrong with hesitations sounded like he had a huge towel over his mouth. Blocked caller.
- Caller: Unknown-thick accent
- BUTTONS| 1 replyReceived a call from this number, man with an accent - said I have a pay day loan, which I do not. When I told them I don't, he said "then why do we have your information"?? I said I don't know, but it needs to be deleted and I need taken off their call list. He then said he couldn't do that without me paying something today - I told him I owe nothing and am paying nothing, he then threatened that I needed to check my bank account in an hour because he was taking it from there. I called the number back and told them I didn't appreciate being threatened and I don't have a pay day loan - called back twice, and was hung up on both times. Horrible scam. They also never gave me a name of the company.
- Caller: Never gave name
- Call type: Debt collector
- Slim replies to BUTTONSIf you KNOW you owe no money, or believe the call was from a fake debt collector, please take the time to read this:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0258-fake-debt-collectors - SoAnnoyedReceived a call from this number & a voice mail was left (a computerized woman's voice) saying I have been approved for a loan up to $8,000.00. I did not apply for a loan & added this # to my 'blocked caller" list

CAN YOU SMELL WHAT'S COOKIN.....................SCAM!!!! - Stewart Cohen| 1 replyLike the others, I was also called with a recorded female voice telling me I was approved for an 8000 loan. I called back the number. The voice was Jamaican. I was asked how much I wanted to borrow. I said 2000. I asked about payments. I was told the loan was at 10% and 200 a month payments. Interest was 200.
I asked for the name of the loan company. I was told "United Cash Advance".No other information was offered or given.
He than went to the heart of the matter, he wanted my Router number and account number.
I recalled an incident like this last year. So I hung up and blocked the number. He had all my personal information.
Definitely a fraud.- Caller: United Cash Advance
- Badge714 replies to Stewart CohenThe problem is in the details. A 10% interest rate on an unsecured loan is unrealistic. You 'might' get such a rate from a bank. But from a 'Payday' style lender - Way, way, way too low. Being cold called telling you you've been approved for a loan is a scam. Sadly, a well known one.
- KristenI got a calls from this number all day, when I answered they would hang up. They called again and when I answered he spoke in a accent I couldn't understand, I told him he had the wrong number he then called me a b*tch and a wh*re. I'm beyond frustrated and have no idea how to block this number!
- Caller: Wouldn't tell me the company
- DebbieKeep getting calls all day they leave a message sometimes and sometimes not. They say I qualify for an $8000 loan which they said I applied for and did NOT. Want to block this number. They are definitely a SCAM.
- Caller: United Cash Adavnace Loan Services
- Jeanette| 1 replyMy minor daughter just got her first phone. Thankfully her father and I put in contacts so she knew the people who were going to call her. We told her not to answer any number she didn't recognize. ONE day later.... this number continues to call my daughter's phone. She told me about it and I found this site stating that it is in fact scam. I just reassured her that she should never answer a number she doesn't know and in this case she ignored the call.
I highly doubt my 12 year old applied for any loan LMAO! At least I hope not ha ha. - not Michael replies to JeanetteIts probably possible to block the calls. Ask her phone company how. Or put the number in her contacts list and assign it the ring tone "no ring" or "silence". That won't stop the calls but it will make them easier to ignore.
