My advice? If it sounds too good to be true.... - No Dummy, well maybe. replies to D.Got the same thing - agreed. sounds too good to be true. I am not calling to find out even though the cat wants to know.
- Wary consumer replies to D.I also received a letter for 2 comp round trip airline tickets but sounds like a trap to me! Even said they have been trying to contact me and the letter was their last attempt -- wonder if that is a promise?!
I didn't call either. - Cjn replies to D.Got same letter...called "Booking.com"....never heard of it and they don't do airline tickets!
- TypicalThank goodness that the internet is useful for some things - like exposing scams like this! I too just received the very same letter. Not going to call either! But I would love to know the genesis of these things, as they must pay an exorbitant amount in postage and letterhead. I guess they must get plenty of suckers to respond though......
- Caller: booking.com
- wowI looked up the address online as well. VERY nice facility...makes you wonder what's going on!
- scam plus scumI also received a letter from R M Williams from Irving Texas and I live in Arkansas. Yes I knew it was to good to be true, but I did call the number just to see who might answer and I was immediately put on hold so I hung up but it was still enough time for them to hack my face book account. I hope this young man knows they are using his business and his name.
- J ShukWe just got one yesterday, exactly as those noted above. So glad I was able to see info on this page, figured it was a scam of some kind. Man, would sure be nice to really have a vaca like that handed to us though, wouldn't it! :)

- More of the same ol' scamsReceived exact same letter today, October 6; same info, same offer, same return name and address, only now his/her offer is supposedly 'powered by Trivago', and his/her number has changed again - this time to 844-805-5697. Also now offering additional 'bonuses'.... 2 complimentary airline tickets, 2-night upper-end hotel stay, 3-day car rental and $50 visa card! Clearly some people must fall for these scams, or they wouldn't spend the time, effort and cost to send out these scammy letters!
