They keep calling me and insist to talk to me.  I asked who was calling, and they said it was the cable company.  When I asked if this was about a bill, they said "no."  After several phone calls, about every 3 days, I finally talked to one of them briefly and told them I was not interested in their offers, to stop calling me.  Well that was last Saturday, today is Wednesday, and they're calling me again.  I looked up the number, and a Google search revealed that this number is from Africa.  They don't seem to have an accent.  I called my cable company, and they said that they have not placed any calls trying to contact me.

We just got a call from this number too. I am glad I found your post. We tend to let all unknown and unfamiliar numbers go to the answering machine because this fraud thing is so rampant today.
