Scam Alert, I wonder if someone has already report them. I called them and they right away ask me for my credit card.

It is Bank of America calling to prevent fraud on your BoA account. I am very glad I answered the phone

If you have a BOA card or account, do NOT tell anonymous callers your information!
Instead, call the number on the back of the card, or shown on your account paperwork.

calls every for last 5 days; leaves no message.

I just phoned VISA Card Services using the number on the back of my VISA card. They confirmed that this number really is used by their staff to call customers concerning changes to the customers' accounts. However, I suggested that they leave a message with a case number telling people to call the number on the back of the card. We really should NOT be discussing our financial details with ANYONE who calls us on the phone.

i did apply, made a mistake on app. got the call back and approval.

At first,  I thought this was legitimate because I HAD recently applied with BOA.  He asked for my birthdate (which I gave)  and then he said my SSN apparently came  back as incorrect and asked me to confirm my correct one. At that time  I told him that I wouldn't give that info over the phone and hung up.

Said they were the Bank of America and they were processing my application.  Never applied for Bank of America credit card.  It was a fraudulent application filled out on line.

I just get my phone call today mostly the same as yours. I gave her my birth date and nothing else. But I'm worrying how she could know that I applied recently...

I received call and also, thought it was just another scammer. Turns out I had signed up for a "AAA" card, Bank of America is behind that card. It was legit

It was a real call, not a scam. I was doubtful at first but they didn’t ask me for any info besides my date of birth and income amount. Answer, and unless they ask you for your social or any card numbers, it should be fine. If they do ask for that info don’t give it to them and report it to your bank!

Called twice, answered today.  Claimed to be from Bank of America.  Told them I had never applied or plan to apply for credit with or thru them.  Said they needed to verify my information, told them I give nothing out over the phone, would be responsible for no accounts opened in my name.  Called the number back and it is a very    nondescript call center number.
