They left me a voicemail saying a complaint was going to be filed (not necessarily against me), and to call them at this number and gave me a "case number" to use. I might call back to see what the bs is.

I got this weird pop up on my computer when i turned it on today saying that I have to call that number... I think its a load of bull but should I check it out?

NO - no one can tell that there is a problem with your computer over the internet.  This is the "fix for a price" scam where the caller can do harm to your unit.

thx for the info. I found out that it's a scam from a fake New York debt collecting service and I destroyed the files that were causing the malware
