Just got a call at 7:45 pm from this number. ID said UNAVAILABLE and so am I! Number blocked too...

Gotten calls from this number and at least  five others that are all American Heart Association. If you've been kind enough to have donated money previously to AHA (I have) and as a way of saying thanks, the AHA hands your number over to telemarketers  to call you daily. They figure you're a top target (sap), so the calls keep on coming. They use a boatload of different telemarketer numbers. This way it borders impossible to block them all because they simply have so many different numbers that you are called from. Like they say 'no good deed goes unpunished'.

Blocked the number on my phone too. Hate being called at night by unknown callers, especially when the caller shows up as "Anonymous!

855-317-5243 is only one of over 200 different numbers the American Heart Association uses by  hired callers working from their homes and who work on commission.  They agree to remove your number from their call list and the next day call again.  Memo to AHA -- I will never again donate.

I went through a ton of these harassing calls from a supposed  American heart fund ,  I have written them a letter block many numbers and now they're calling me again they are off my donation list

Have received calls from 3 different numbers all showing Am Heart Association last 7 days leaving no messages. The numbers are 855-317-5243, 866-633-0792 and 877-213-3772.  Possible is scammers using different numbers but all showing Am Heart Assoc to trap people, or Am Heart Assoc. changes their numbers to ask donations. Both not the reason for me to take these calls, but the reason to block these calls.

Call came in to Vonage home phone, Caller ID shows American Heart Association, but log of incoming calls in Vonage online account fails to show this number as valid, so very likely a spoofer.

Rat Bstrds called.  Their next on my list.  Time to reload.

Called my land-line at 7:23PM.  Caller ID said Anonymous Call.  No message.  As with most others, this is probably the fifth number to call and when I look it up here it's associated with the AHA.  BLOCKED those and will now block this one.

We continually get calls from this number all hours of the day and night.  It comes up on caller ID  as American heart association.    We do not answer any of these calls, and they never leave a message on the answering machine.   Its a scam!    The AHA  does not call and solicit money!   Beware of these scums who take advantage over the phone of trying to request money!!     Shame on them.

Just thought I'd add, I am fortunate to have a Panasonic cordless phone system which can block up to 250 numbers, including entire area codes, so I am now blocking 855, 866 and 877---I realize there will be numerous others to block as well, but this is a good start.

I contacted American Heart Association about the numerous toll free calls being received from their solicitors.  They responded with the following:

We apologize for your bad experience as it is not a true reflection of your American Heart Association. Please reply with your full name and telephone number so we may investigate further. This will ensure that it is added to our Do Not Call list. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The call/s you received appear to be part of our Dear Neighbor campaign. February is National Heart Month and kind-hearted volunteers send out letters with life-saving information about heart disease and stroke and appeals for donations. The volunteers then send us the sealed envelopes from their neighbors, or the donations may be mailed directly to us by the donors themselves. You may read more at heart.org/dearneighbor. These calls are outsourced to a vendor called Infocision.

Caller ID shows up as Toll Free Call 855-317-5243. They never leave a message.  We have blocked this number.

I tried to post a message on Friday to their Facebook page about these incessant calls.  It has to go through the admins first.  Of course it never appeared on their page, but I did get a response back, almost verbatim to yours but without the details of the Dear Neighbor campaign or third party vendor.  I provided my number via private message to them.  I typically wouldn't but they obviously already have it.   I got a reply back that they will remove my number but it might take a few business days.  The calls continued to come in over the weekend and yesterday.  I'm giving it this week.  If they don't stop I'm filing complaints with the FTC, FCC, and the states Attorney General offices of Texas (their headquarters) and Pennsylvania (my state).  I've actually reached the maximum number of blocked calls allowed on my land-line thanks in large part to the AHA.

The caller  i.d. says Am. Heart Assoc.  They left No message.  Attention ALL telemarketers! We don't take donation calls.  It could be a spoofer of your number or some nefarious  scam artist. Just because it says Am. Heart Assoc. doesn't mean we can depend that it's really you. We donate, but we contact to whom we donate. If you actually spend money on telemarketing money hawking, you don't need money, you need business courses. You aren't handling your money wisely.

called at 0828. no message left, id reads Am Heart Assoc. this is their sixth call, now blocked, and i'll never donate another penny to them...
