The number called my workplace asking for employee verification on someone who doesn't work at my job. They were looking to speak with a manager or someone in HR. I told the person that they need to call cooperate and the guys response on the phone was, "Oh, okay. Thank you." Then he hung up.

I missed a call from this # & because I was expecting another call, I called the # back. After about a minute, a woman answered the phone & I asked what their call was regards to. She asked me if my phone # was ... but then she added an extension # to it. My cell phone doesn't have an extension #. She asked if I was xyz & said something about employment verification for me, but, not knowing what company was requesting it. She mentioned my DOB & asked if I was still working for (my previous employer) & that she had a phone # for them. I told her I wasn't answering anything & hung up.

Call from (855) 322-8785 came into my office requesting employment verification, they would not give any other information.  I informed our receptionist that I have not applied for anything that needs verification and not to give out any information.
