This came in as a missed call on my cellphone and I did not call back.  Caller left no message.  I rarely get legitimate calls on my cellphone from people who aren't in my contacts list, so this was almost certainly a solicitor.

This number called me but i missed the call so i called back and it just had me on hold. I sometimes get calls but they ask for someone else and i tell them not to call me back but they always end up calling.

By all the folks who call these numbers back!  If no voice mail is left or the number is not in your contact list, ignore it!

Caller from (855) 322-8785 is "Center Point Legal Solutions", a debt collection agency.

Called my work phone# and provided my name and birthdate, which he asked me to confirm. I refused to answer any questions until he told me who he was calling for, he said they don't receive that information.  Research shows Center Point Legal Solutions, http://www.centerpointls.com/

Since they talked to you they are now required by law to do this:

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

I doubt they will but whether they do or don't, this is what you must do:

You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation, cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.

When I answered the office phone a lady said that shes calling on a recorded line and trying to do an employment verification, told her that she needed to call the main office in St Louis.  That was it.

Calls daily for the HR Department for employment verification.  HR Director confirmed they are debt collectors - they aren't following proper legal protocol to obtain employment verification.  HR wants no more calls from these people.

Strange call to my business phone. I own a one-man company and this guy wanted to do employment verification for an "Amber Wiley." Told him I have never heard that name before. This made me uneasy, wondering what this was really all about.

I was receiving up to eight calls a day from this number (855-322-8785), as it did not recognize the number I did not answer it.  Today I finally answered it and they were requesting employment verification and personal information regarding someone who no longer works for our company for over nine months now.  I told her that this person is no longer with us and she said thank you I will update our records.  I would hope that they do not call me again because excessive phone calls is basically harassment  and very unprofessional.

New tactic, this time caller claims to need to verify employment, can't use the work number so wants to speak with anyone in HR.   Very convincing, could hear other voices in the back ground and a quiet beep, like call is being recorded.  855-322-8785  not legit at all, can't call the number back, keeps you on hold.

they keep calling, asking to verify information for one of my employees. they won't tell me what this is for, or why they want the info. i asked them to fax me something, which they did, but it gives no more info on why they want the info or who they are, other than Center point legal solutions.  I won't give my employees personal info out. i'm guessing debt collector of some sort.

Called again to day so I answered.  Didn't say who they were, but wanted to do an employment verification.  Told her she's is calling the wrong place and gave her our corporate office.  I did not state my name when I answered, because, you never know...
