I called the the number back; they identifed themselves as Capital Recovery Associates. I have no idea what this is in regards to; however they left a voice mail stating that I am being sued. I will file a compliant after, I speak a real person tomorrow and request information from them.

Make sure you demand a debt validation letter proving you owe the debt to them (showing original creditor, date of loan/debt, amount owed, date of last payment, and if they are licensed to claim and collect debt in your state).  It is illegal to say you are being sued if they do not actually intend to sue you for payment.  Remember - they must prove that you owe this debt to them.

My employer received a call from this number. Caller told my boss that I am being sued and that she wanted to serve papers at my job. I was not working at the time. My boss called me at home and said that I needed to call this number because the caller had informed her that, " I was being sued for fraud, and therefore I could not work with children". I called the number and once again the caller said that I am being sued, however she wanted to work something out with me. I asked for the original debtor, she was unable to tell me. I believe she has violated the consumer protection law by discussing personal business with my boss.
