- Patrice replies to JamesI got the exact same phone call yesterday referring to cae #25072939, also from a local #, also telling me to call back at 855 325 3301. I am assuming thqt this is a scam then?
- R.J. replies to James| 1 replyThey also called me with the same message as above. They had the last four numbers of my social. These days I think just about anyone can find that information out But they also called my wife and my daughter. I have Verizon and it seems like they have all the phone numbers connected to me. I actually answered the phone call to my wife and the lady transferred me to another gentleman. She first made sure that I have a case number that he would need. He said it was from an overdue card from 2010. I asked him what was this in regards to, and he yelled “you’ll find out in court”we then hung up knowing this was most likely a scam.
It took these people 15 years to find out where I am. I am not hiding from anybody they could’ve easily found me. - Fake lawfirm| 1 replyCaller called saying that USPS had missed serving me, and told me to reschedule with the process server then gave me the number to call I called the number, they wanted my last 4 of ssn, of course I said no, I gave her the reference number she told I had a serous pen d ing litigation against me. She gave us a "case number" and said to call to get it figured out. Once we call there is nothing stating it's a law firm just the same woman that called, stating that our number was tied to a case number. We contacted our lawyers office and was told it's a scam and to not give any information.

- LaLa replies to R.J.I received a call from within my state, Mississippi, saying that I was sued and they are trying to serve me, and that there had already been 1 attempt and a second one would send it directly to court. I asked when was this failed attempt of service was and they said 1/5/25. I said well that's absolutely incorrect because I was home ALL day that day. She then transferred me to "the Firm" that is suing me. He began telling me that it was for a Capital One formerly HSBC credit card account from 2005-2011 and that I owe $8,759 dollars on it...BUT they are willing to give me 50% discount!!! I began asking him questions about "the Firm" and where they are located (LA County California). And I said I never had this account and he insisted that I did and I demanded proof of this debt. He wanted me to let him email it to me and I refused. Nope I need official copies of the original agreement, whereas he said you will get them when you are served. Then he offered another 50% discount bringing this offer to 2,189.75 if I will agree to pay it and if not they are going to place a lien on my home. I asked what kind of idiot did he think he was dealing with because even if this had been my debt, the statute of limitations runs out 3 years from the last payment/activity or acknowledgment of said account. He said their attorney's wouldn't waste time if they couldn't collect. Told him, well....y'all have fun trying!!!!
