i keep getting calls and this is the return number they provided for me to call them back at and a roshell smith said she was just a processor and didnt know what it was about and that i needed to contact number above before they serve me.

This number keeps calling the brokers office I'm affiliated with and telling them they need to serve me at the office, and whoever accepts the papers will have to appear with me.  If they need to serve me so bad why not do so at my residence.  I called the number back and they were more interested in what number their office had called.  I think she identified the office as legal dept for RD & Associates

Called me with a blocked number, very muffled message, sounded like Post Office wanting to deliver something. Called the 855 number back. Some type of litigation office, at least someone told me what person they were leaving the message for - far from my name! Of course tried to get my phn # (which I had also blocked when I called them back) "to take me off their list" but I wasn't about to hand that out to them, so I hung up. SCAM!!!

This number called me unknown left a message about some papers that needed to be filed with the clerks office however no name was given but wanted me to call them back at 855 332-2413. I'm didn't bother to call because if papers were being filed they would send it to your home address instead of calling me telling papers need to be filed. This is a hung SCAM!!!!

these people contacted my landlord leaving a message with him stating that wife was being sued and had tried to contact her (wife) several times. My landlord became concerned and brought the message right over. My question is why didn't they send us any kind of notice by mail. mmmmmm scam!!!

what do you mean "they identified the office.." what does that have to do with anything please explain..I'm getting calls to...

My spouse got a call from them yesterday trying to verify my address. My spouse didn't provide any information.  They told my spouse I will be served papers to appear in court.  They also then called my number and left the same message with me.  I was given the 8553322413 number to call, and they stated that they would be sending these papers in three days.

Hello -   I received 2 telephone calls from a Heather  855-332-2413  who said they needed to serve me with papers and they did not have to send a person to my office but rather call.   they gave Doc IL 109201 which is a scam.   They are trying to get as much information including your email addresses.   they selll this information to hackers who then extract more information about credit cards to sell to overseas companies that produce more scams via email etc.    

I report them to the states attorneys office and dectectives at my local police department so they can get arrested  - because most people become afraid and give them lots of information... do call them back - just report it to states attorney or local dectectives at your local police department - we have to stop these people

When I called off the message they left me I talked to an administrator and they didn't probe me for more information or anything like that.

I received a phone call from my land lord as well stating someone tried to contact my husband at her number. Just as I ended my call with her, an unknown number called asking for my husband. I informed him that he wasn't home and he gave me this number and case number. We called them and they said he was being served for a civil law suit on behalf of HSBC for a line of credit extended to be used at Best Buy of which only one payment was made toward. He told her he had never had a line of credit with Best Buy, nor had we bought anything but one phone from there--EVER. She argued that the purchase was in 2010 and that we were nearly in 2014, as if that meant it was easy to forget purchasing something for nearly $1,000. I believe this is definitely a scam but we'll see if they actually show up at our doorstep to serve papers tomorrow... I also find it weird there are only comments for this number from THIS month as if they just established this law firm.

Wrong - you NEVER get a heads up you'll be served, and they can only serve the papers to you.  "Whoever accepts the papers will have to appear with me."  Nope, that's not how the legal system works here in the US.  Trust me, if they were legitimate and were going to serve papers, they'd already HAVE your address and would have served those papers.

Report the callers to the FTC, FBI, Dept of Justice and your state's Attorney General.  NEVER pay money to any caller who refuses to mail proof that you owe a debt and that they have the legal right to collect said debt.  It is a violation of the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) to refuse to mail this documentation.

The poster means they "said" they were RD & Associates - however, that doesn't mean that there actually IS an RD & Associates or that they're calling FROM that company.  Many scammers "spoof" numbers and say they're calling from this company or that, when in actual fact, they're not.

All these people getting calls from some outfit who consistently violate the FDCPA, who refuse to mail proof - as required by the FDCPA - for debts they NEVER incurred - and you say they're "legit".  Maybe in your own mind, since obviously you must work for them.  Reported for being a company shill.

Nice try, but no cigar.  No one should ever pay a caller just because they say they're collecting a debt - you ALWAYS make them mail proof that the debt is yours and that they actually have the legal right to collect said debt.  You don't pay just because it "sounded right."  Oh, and even if the debt was legitimate, your credit score doesn't go "up some" after paying it - it takes months before your score would improve.  Having said that, you still come across as a company shill.
