THIS PEOPLE ARE CALLING FROM INDIA AND CLAIM THEMSELVES AS A LEGAL DEPARTMENT OR BLA BLA BLA FAKE U.S DEPARTMENT. HACKING INTERNET INFORMATION FOR PAYDAY LOANS AND HARRASING AND THREATNING PEOPLE FOR ARREST BY POLICE AND SEND THEM IN THE JAIL. THEY ARE ASKING PEOPLE TO PAY MONEY AND DOING INTERNATIONAL SCAM.

These people called saying i owed a payday loan which i never took out. They claimed to be with the US govt criminal division.
all fake people that are trying to collect money, will not give out any information about their location or which branch of govt they are with. They want money on a green dot card

This is a scam. This number has called me several times regarding a payday loan that I never took out. They also have my bank and personal information. They threaten to have me arrested. The last time they called, I called them back telling them I was recording the call and that I would be turning them into the FBI (I wasn't though) and they told me "F**K You". Real nice morons. They are from India apparently from their accent.

This number just called.  Again an Indian accent.  I didn't answer, they left a message saying there were several complaints against me & I better call back right away or I would be arrested.  They talked so fast I couldn't understand them.  It was like they were reading a script.  This is not the first time I received this type of call & it is always from a different number.  This guy talked so fast I couldn't understand the number he wanted me to call back even if I wanted to.  Too bad these people have nothing better to do than to harass people.

I just got a call from this number and the person was so rude. he claimed there was a lawsuit against me and when I told him I knew it was a scam he kept repeating himself and saying he was gonna call my employer and have me fired.

They did the same thing to my girlfriend.called her work and said she needed to be fired.said she owed money and they were going to call the local sherrif. we live in a big city lol. They want your bank card info.dont give them s**t.lets just call them with blocked # and harrass them back .i hate these types of people,scamming people for there hard earned money. Lets harrass them back people.screw them.

This number called me told me i had 3 charges against my name. That i borrowed 300 dollars and now owed them 800. Said they were gonna call my job and have my pay docked. They actually did call my job. They told me i was gonna be sent to jail. I'm going to school for these kinds of scams dont pay them.

I keep getting calls from this number and a guy by the name of Nick Anderson claims that I have a law suit against me regarding a payday loan with mine and my sister's company. We have no such loan for our company and this guy calls both our business phone and my cell phone several times a day on a daily basis. When asked for his bar number and the case number and told not to call our phone he starts using profanity. For anyone with this type of call or you get a call from this number call the Consumer Protection of Finance Bureau at 855-411-2372 and file your complaint with them to stop this guy! You can also go to consumerfinances.gov to file your complaint online. You can also contact the FBI as well to report it.

just received me third phone call from this number the other number was out of texas. I contacted an attorney the last time who told me not to pay any money to anyone because its a scam! Yes i applied for an online loan and i never followed through to receive it. I called the number back and told them my attorney wanted there name and address and name of businesss to be reported to the bbb and they told me they would stop calling and hung up smh SCAM

Called and said was sheriffs dept and they were looking for an employee and they cussed me out!!!

Just happend to me today they being calling all week long about some type loan .... Never took and they said I will go to jail of I didn't pay 972.00 ....! Called my job 14 times until he spoke to my office manager I told her to f...... Off and I should be fired !  Nice right this needs to stop take action everyone I reported to police department to prevent me to get fired from my job I being working here for over 5 years never had any problems with money or justice !!!! Please. Learn and take action now !!!!!!

You would think that they would take a few minutes to find out what the law is regarding debt her in the good old USofA.  Ridiculous.

I received a call at my place of employment stating they were needing to speak with me about an investigation. Name left was Kelly Smith at phone number 855-332-4348. I called back and a male answered with hello. I asked him who he was and who he worked for. He said his name was raymond scott with the criminal beauro of investigation. I asked him what he wanted with (my name inserted here). he said he could not help me with more information about me. I then asked for his superior officer and he gave me his "name" again. i told him that this was the same name and i wanted his superior officer's name. he told me he was his own superior officer. I told him he was full of [***] and hung up. I filed a formal complaint at consumerfinance.gov.
These people spoke in a india accent. DO NOT TRUST THEM. They are lying.

Just had a person call stating that this number called her at work claiming that she had defaulted on a loan (that does not exist), and that they were going to have her fired.  100% a scam.

They harass me so much I change my cell number , and then they started calling me at work. But they stop after I told them I knew it was a scam, do not pay them.

the same guy called my cell and work number as well.  I told him I was reporting his name and number to BBB as well as the police dept in my town.  Didn't seem too concerned.

They just called my work and the person calling went by the name of Kelly Smith with an accent.  Stating that there was a warrent for my arrest.  Once I asked for the name of the company and location so I could forward the information to my lawyer she hung up.  What a bunch of idiots.

You can also print out this forum thread to show your HR Dept/manager - you should NOT get into trouble because scammers are harassing you!  The callers are from overseas, so not much to be done about them.  FYI, debt is civil, not criminal, so no one is arrested for defaulting on a loan.
