Received calls from this 855-334-4196 for “Mary”-somebody from “Ms Evans”, x1246583 with message of legal threats of nonspecific nature, very similar to that described by nycwhofan, 2 Dec 2016, above.

I received a call from Comenity (614) 729-5024, but they gave (855) 334-4196 with an ext in msg. They left a message for my sister in law, who has never been associated with my number, and they did not give their name or the company they were calling from, nor did they mention the issue at hand. Could be coincidence, but we do not have a common last name....

Commenity bank. They think it’s appropriate to contact multiple family members in one day. I spoke to a manager to report that I’m not the person on the account and asked how they got my number. I was informed that they have “resources” and use public record to find associates. When I brought up that they don’t know what unnecessary drama they’re stirring up when they contact relatives who are in no way associated with the account, the supervisor replied that “it’s kind of irrelevant to the bank because they’re focused on getting the money.”

Not a coincidence. I spoke to a manager. If they can’t speak to the account holder they go looking for a known associate until they ultimately get in contact with the debtor.

Left a message saying this message is for Catherine and then gave last name nowhere near my name, sitting at this is an important situation and that before it escalates I need to contact them to resolve this issue. Return the call at 8553344198 six extension 126-6009 call came in from a completely different number I blocked both.

Got the same messsge, sounds threatening to me.  They can't threaten you when tryig to collect a debt.  Number was hidden

Got this callwhile at work. Rude lady and it wasn't even for me!

Keep getting messages to my number but she needs to speak with my husband about "an important business matter that has been escalated"?? Is she a legit bill collector? Because if so, my husband has a 750 credit score and we're in the process of buying a house so I'm pretty sure all our finances are in order...?

Received this call twice from comments bank for my ex motherlaw. I'm divorced 25yrs & I do not have any debt. Women was very threatening Wichita is probably illegal. I will consult my uncle he is a judge in new jersey

I received a very demanding voicemail yesterday for a name very similar to my daughter who is 3yrs old. This person they’re looking for has the same last name so it seems they are doing some skip tracihrg and calling people with same last name. I’m reporting this, I was pissed when I heard this message.

Scumbags pretending to be debt collectors. They are scam artists, not legitimate debt collectors.
Just hang up on them.

Ext 1246986 left a voicemail attempting to be threatening, just ended up being a lame (and failed) attempt to collect a debt for Comenity Bank. Reporting to the Attorney General and let the woman who answered know NEVER to try that on me. On top of that they did not state the mini-miranda which is the law under fdcpa.

Call from someone saying they were with Comenity Bank and it was for somebody I have never heard of.  I had to call back today. I did not return call. Blocked number.
