I called this number thinking it was apple support. Only to be asked to buy an apple unlock card from a local store for a $100 that I would be rembersed for in 5 Minutes?

Their entire scam makes no sense. Why would you have to buy gift cards because someone hacked your account? And why would they give you $500 extra? For the inconvenience?

My sister called thinking it was an Apple support number but was scammed out of $450. Watch out and listen.

I, too, called this number, thinking it was Apple Pay, to report an erroneous charge. I gave them enough information that they authorized $1250 from my debit card. I'm in the process of disputing the withdrawal from my bank. Merry Christmas, you filthy animals!

I called this number thinking it was apple support. It came up on google. I was asked to buy an apple unlock card from a local store for a $100 that I would be rembersed for in 5 Minutes. They also asked for my address and even offered to stay on the phone with me while I went to a target.

This happened to me today. When I googled “Apple support”, this website popped up, I was not being careful and called. When the guy who has strong Indian accent told me to go to target to get gift card, $200, I realized that he wasn’t real. I told him “No one needs to purchase gift cards, this sounds like a scam” and he yelled at me “You think this sounds like a scam because you are dumb!”  Well... maybe I was. When we need help by Apple, we go to Apple website and make appointment  for phone calls.

I called thinking it was Apple support and they told me I had some using my Apple ID in other countries and needed me to transfer money to my Apple Pay. When I got upset they wanted me to buy a target or eBay card and asked me to put $500 on it and they would refund all my money and send me an Apple Watch the next day. I hung up and called my bank to stop payment and report the scam. I canceled all my credit cards and my Apple ID password was changed. My bank stopped the transfers after a few. Thank God. What a horrible group of people. I’ll work with my bank to get my money back and “vengeance is mine, says the Lord” I also reported it to the police and Apple.com, the real place. Beware.

Yup! googling apple support Is a no no. This fake number Is the first to pop up.  asked for EBay cards or an ITunes return card?? No no no. Who ever heard of an itune return card?? And i have to put $100 on it to settle my dispute and get a refund of that plus xtra $50 for the inconvenience ??
The only support number for apple is 1-800- MY-APPLE   I was lazy googling instead of tying it in and wasted 10 mins arguing with an indian that i wasnt buying and ebay card for itunes. Took me that long to realize the scam thankfully i didnt give any info out to them but my email to “look up” my account.

BEWARE!!!!! When we complained, they threaten us! God will forgive them but it is hard for me at this point...

BEWARE!!! From my mobile phone I google on Safari and this FAKE link https://apples.contact-support.club and calling number 1-855-334-8590 popped up. Thinking this was a legit Apple Support, I call to reset my old phone and the person from the other end somehow, said my phone have been compromised along with my personal data and had spread to 10 other servers around the country. He then told me to download an app TeamViewer QuickSupport to share my screen with them. He asked for my bank information and told us to get 2 eBay gift cards $200 each to resolve the server’s issue.
Lesson learn... Do not share your screen, provide any personal data with anyone online or over the phone....

Why works you bother to Google Apple support when you could simply go to apple.com? You know, their official website?

I too called after googling. They did not ask me to buy a card. They had me download the support app and were able to access my phone. Said they had to verify my Apple ID in order for my sons to work. This was a verification that was going to come back once verified. Long story short, after several verification attempts, they couldn’t get it and then instructed me to get a gift card which is when i knew scam. I cancelled everything but Apple said i authorized the payments so they won’t give money back. Currently disputing with the banks. Not looking promising to get my money back despite all the police reports i filed.

So, instead of going right to the actual, official Apple site you looked up a phone number?  Why?  Since they now have access to your phone you have more problems as well.  I have no doubt that they now have all the information that you have stored on that phone including contact information, user names, passwords, credit card info, banking info, etc.

Correct. It is a big problem. I didn’t know the Apple support number was in my phone. And when i was doing a million other things at once, yes, i googled Apple support number. Definitely a lesson learned for sure. Had to wipe everything out, change all accounts, and it’s still a nightmare that’s not resolved.
