- angiebaby162They have called me twice now. The first time I told them the person they were asking for is not at this number and I didn't even bother answering this time. They left the number 855-334-9894 and a claim number.
- angiebaby162 replies to MaryLisaI received the same call. I researched the company name they left me and its to an IT firm in the UK. I also search court records and there is nothing in my name. It is a bs call. Next time they call I am going to threaten them with a civil harassment case.
- bobHas anyone ever followed up and called the number back? I recieved a call as well. 1st caller claimed something about an old address and complaint. When I said I don't even live in the state anymore and the address was from 7 years ago, he hung up. Someone else called back with this number and a ref # said it was about an urgent matter, yatta yatta. Wondering if it is a bogus deal. I don't want to waste my breath. TIA.
- Caller: LSC ??
- ChadI just followed up with the call and it goes to a voicemail and the person said that someone would call back in 24 hours. I believe that this is a bogus thing as well. They called and got my son and said that he was going to get served papers for a credit card that he had that he has not paid and that it was like 3000 dollars but they would knock 40% off if he paid by today 1000 dollars. Hell the item he bought was only 500. I am going to follow up on this and try to figure it out!!

- LoshdogI received a call from Lisa Martin trying to asking me what time i'm going to be home tomorrow b/c they wanted to serve me papers for a litigation hearing. She gave me a number for Richard 855 334 9894. I called Richardj (after holding for several minutes) Richard picked up and identified himself as the assistant to the attoreny Greg Taylor. I asked for BAR # but was not given one.
Richard ended up hanging up on me. I called back 855 334 9894 and got Lisa Martin on the phone who originally gave me 714 382 7333 as her call back.
I was told that the calls overflow to them when the other line is full.....
The whole things sounds like a load of crap....!!!- Caller: LCS
- From actual lawyerThe company who has been calling you is probably a scammer. There is no evidence that they actually exist. They are probably criminals who have found your information online. Unless you receive written notification there is no reason to treat them as a real company. They may threaten you to scare you into paying them, but there is nothing they can actually do. Do not give them anything they ask for. File a complaint with your state attorney general's office or contact the new government agency which has been set up to handle consumer complaints:

You may also file a complaint with the FBI here:

Payday loan sites get hacked on a seemingly regular basis and scammers use info hacked from these sites to illegally collect money from unwary consumers. They will often know personal info such as your last four digits of your SSN, DOB, address etc., all taken from the stolen records. They use that info to get even more info on you from personal info sellers like Choicepoint. Unless you know for sure you owe the money, be very careful about giving them any personal info, especially bank account information (they will clean you out,). Record the calls if legal in your jurisdiction, and demand a mailing address so you can send them a "cease and desist" letter (see FDCPA Sect 809.) Since these calls almost always come from overseas, there isn't much the authorities can do to stop them. So protect yourself. The scammers use many scare tactics to force you to pay:
• Threaten jail time, to "serve you at work or home" or " arrest you at work or home" if you don't pay by a specific hour
• demand pre-paid Walmart card or Western Union tranfers to pay the supposed debt
• Tell you "there is a case pending in the courts". Check your local courthouse and see if any company has filed a lawsuit against you.
• Say they are federal agents, government agents, law enforcement, ie; "Officer Smith", ""Special Investigator Jones"
• Say they are a lawyer or law firm. Ask for their exact company name, address and the names of their lawyers so you can look them up in their state bar association (this can be done online).
• State a fake company name: again, get the exact address and look them up in their state's Division of Corporations:. If they are not listed there they are not a real company, and therefore, a SCAM!
• Tell them by law they are required to send you a collection letter within 5 days of the first time they call you. Be suspicious if they refuse to give you their address or won't send the letter through the US Mail. Many scammers email or fax collection letters to skirt the Mail Fraud felony laws.

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do against scammers since they are not legitimate and not much you can do either other than hang up on them. Keep telling them you know they are not real, they will not get anything from you, and are wasting their time. Also, tell them you have reported them to the FBI. Eventually they will leave you alone when they realize they will not be able to trick you into paying them. Please see this ALERT from the FBI:

Stamford, CT 06905 - TLScam. Do NOT give any credit card information. Same people call from this number & from numbers that have a 844 & 855 area code. All go back to this same place. They tell you that you owe them money for a loan that you did not take out and that you can make a payment to them for significantly less than what you owe if you give your credit card information immediately. Otherwise, they are going to have warrants issued for your arrest or have you served with court papers. They have been bugging me for over a year. So far I've been told that felony warrants were going to be issued. Never happened. I've been told they were going to subpeona me to court. Never happened. Just called me again today and told me I would be served with papers at my job. I told them I would be glad to come get the papers from them myself if she would just tell me where she was! Hung up on me... my phone will be quiet for a month and then they will start again. Last month we called them back continuously and the calls stopped until now.

- Dee DeeStraight Scammers!!! Don't give out any info! If it was truly a debt....they'd already have your info. I block them every time, even when they try to use other numbers. Sounds like the same company using the IRS scam and making threats to people. Funny thing is..... My husband is an IRS Agent and he said it was a scam!!! 😂😡
