- mike westfield| 1 replyI interesting conversation with a guy name Alex pertaining to a deferred deposit. he informed me of my rights within the fdcpa and also informed me of the civil proceedings that can occur if the debt. is not paid. Alex informed me that this is not a criminal proceeding it is civil in nature and no one can go to jail for this. He told me about a civil warrant which is a order after judgement to execute finances. This was very professional but I informed him that Im broke and cant pay. Alex informed me we've exhausted collection activity and he would document account.

- casey replies to mike westfieldMy goodness!! That Alex must be wonderful guy. Did you ask for his hand in marriage? The two of you would make a lovely combo..........you a shillin and Alex/Steve/Dave/ a scammin......or are you Steve/Dave/Alex/Mike Westerfield. I'm going to go with that.
- kim| 1 replyI recieived a call from Alex last week he called my work and my cell to let me know i needed to pay 300.00 dollars today or i would be arrested for check fraud.i set up payment arrangements with him i had know idea he was a scam??
- Call type: Debt collector
- Meg| 2 repliesTotal scam.. I asked for documents to be emailed to me regarding the payment arrangment they wanted to set up..first this guy Alex said he was calling from a bank, then after he got my cc info he changed his story.. I got nervous and cancelled the card I gave them to take the payment out.. after I started asking questions he said he would have to call me back.. never did.. I called him back and started asking him more questions and demanded the info be emailed to me.. what is also interesting is that he said he was located in Orlando, FL.. but the NY Check registry where he said he was calling from is located in NY.. and this number is not a legitimate business number. Today I received a call from a woman "Ms. Stockton" from "PPS Delivery Services" Saying she needed to schedule a delivery of papers that needed my signature and she needed my ID. But did not leave HER phone number, left the 855-339-2899 number. If they were a legit bank they would have easily sent me an email or document with payment arrangements. In my opinion they are not sending this because they don't want anything in writing to incriminate themselves.

- jc replies to kimWell....now you know what keeps these scammers in business. Didn't you even ask for written validation?
- Monica replies to Meg| 1 replyI have repedidly asked this company for their business ID number. They asked me to have my attorney contact them. this is the 3rd time I have spoken with them and have gotten no where every time I call back my "case" is going through the legal system. its a [***] company and doesn't deserve any attention so please people from now on stand up for yourself ask the correct questions. You can be served with papers over the phone that's illegal. the whole reason for process servers is to surprise the client and make them take the papers co clearly someone calling you about papers isn't legit. If they cant provide a business license number, the total you owe, the principal balance that you took your "loan" out for and documentation they are a scam
- Elspeth replies to MonicaAnd please don't forget to demand that they mail proof that you not only owe this debt but that they are legally able to collect said debt in your state! Any caller who refuses to MAIL proof of debt to you, who refuses to give you company name, physical address and phone number is in violation of the FDCPA - do NOT pay them!
