Keeps calling - leaves no message - hangs up when answered

This number keeps calling me too.....and hanging up when answered.  When I try to call the number back, a recording says that due to telephone company problems the call cannot go through, and I should call again later.  Each time I call, I get the same recording.

Calls often - always hangs up when answered, never leaves messages.  I don't understand why the phone companies cannot block these nonsense calls.  PS: I'm starting to wonder if you might get charged by calling numbers like these back from your caller ID.  I NEVER call back a number when I don't at least recognize the area code.  It's a shame you have to be so careful about everything now-a-days.

Same thing and to all my listed phones.  VERY ANNOYING!   Could they be looking for empty/not occupied homes or apartments?

This # 855-354-3790 calls at least 4 times a day. When i answer the they just hang up. these calls have been going on for months now, I would like them to stop!!

You can block them using the call screening function of your provider. For example I dialed *60 and added that phone number to block them or screen who is allowed to call me. Problem solved.

Called me today, on call-waiting but I answered within 30 seconds, nobody there. (I have a listed phone number in eastern Massachusetts.)

It is Verizon trying to sell you their FIOS Cable System.

Calls, I answer...they hang up...I call back and I can't because it says number not available :(

They asked for me by name, and I did not recognized the number, so said I was unavailable. I just got Verizon two days ago. so maybe...

I want to know if i will get charged for texting back this area code. When people text me with unknown numbers I ask them who they are if they have the same area code. this area code is 817. Will i get charged if i ask who they are?
