Message left on land line.  Caller offered to get me a 40K loan at a good rate even if I wasn't satisfied with the other offers I had received.  All he needs is my personal and banking information.  Yea, right.  Call from 516-777-6904

No company name. No website. No loan. Just another generic fake loan offer. They offer random rates to ppl that didn’t apply for a loan. This is a scam. It’s very obvious. I called them back and gave all useless information. They said I was ‘in the system’ and hung up. They can’t use any of that, because it’s fake, too. But you get the point: phishing for information to target you and steal your money or identity.

Aside from name, SSN and Bank Account Number (for the "direct deposit" of the "loan), what else did they ask for?
If people know what they will be asking for they can have a ready list of fake info to give the scammers.

Not everyone knows they’re scammers. The whole point of posting is to help people that may be unaware that they’re being scammed.

Apparently you did not comprehend what I wrote in the post you are replying to.
You also most likely did not read the post by "Jim" either, since it gives context to the reply I made to him.
Further, your posting under different names makes you appear Troll-ish.  Your duplicate post was reported to the Moderators for removal as being needless.
