Called on 06-02-19. Caller ID stated 'No Name Sent'. Phone rang 4 times, not enough to trigger answering machine then they disconnected. Blocked the number.

Caller ID showed the number.  I did not recognized the number; so, let voice mail pick up.  The caller was an automated system calling to remind me that my Lifeline certification was about to expire.  The thing is, I don't have Lifeline.  I have never applied for it or subscribed to it.  I deleted the message without taking any further action.

One week until I I would lose my Lifeline benefits unless I recertified. I called - it was an Indian call center with the usual runaround, passed from one person to the next, each asking for personal information. Second call: 24 hours to recertify or I would lose my Lifeline benefits. Thing is, I recertified three months ago.

Actually got multiple texts on my cell phone telling me I needed to recertify my Lifeline service. They claimed to be Safelink. Went to web page they provided to fill out form. It said I wasn't in their system so I should call the number, so I did. Got an automated system that wanted a 10 digit number from a letter I was supposed to have recieved (but didn't). I hung up and went to the legit Safelink web page and checked and they said I DID NOT need to recertify at this time and that I would be notified 4 months in advance, not 15 day, a week or 24 hours ahead of time. i believe it is a scam.

Same SCAM as all these noted here, except I'm not on SafeLink, I'm on Assurance Wireless.
I re-upped last month & I'm good for the next 3 years so scroom. Blocked.
