I got a call for something about signing up for a college or university.

I get a call every day, and they don't ever leave a message started 5 days ago, so annoying! How can I block this?

I called the number back and told them to take me off their call list and they haven't called back

They call every day almost twice a day. Few times they would say nothing or a machine. says they are from a college

Received a call twice today from this number. After reading others comments, it was probably because I was searching Internet  searching for info about online classes/finishing my Bachelors degree. (Would be nice if we could just "browse" and not be put on "lists" (for calls & emails)

Got a call from them just a few minutes ago. Normally I don't answer "Unknown" numbers, but I've been expecting a call, so I answered it. I said "hello" twice before anyone responded, and it sounded like an Indian man. He knew my name, and I guess it was because, like Nana said, it was something I did browsing the internet.

Call them and listen to the options, if you dont want them to call again press option 1.

They are a referral service for colleges. If you have searched for a college or requested information they will call you until you ask them to stop.

I got two calls from this exact number but both times I did not answer it because I do not like to answer numbers I do not know.

same thing happened. I did sign up for grants so maybe this is why but they don't answer either. Right after I hung up I got a call from private number with same issue.

Got a call claiming to be from some college. Not really sure what they were asking about as the woman speaking had a strong accent. Discussed something about distance education... don't pick up if you get a call from this number.

This number has called repeatedly, every day of the week, for three weeks. Two or three times a day. I don't pick up unknown numbers, and they NEVER leave a voicemail. I'm getting very frustrated. Glad I found this site - thanks to all who have commented about this.

I got a call saying they are from "Degree Counseling" and she told me they got my number from my e-mail. I did not e-mail them. The only thing I can figure is that it was tied into a contest or sweepstakes I entered. Every now and then I give it a shot but it's such a cluster of data mining that if you're logged into Facebook and/or certain e-mail (Yahoo, Gmail) that it will populate fields for you. If you're not careful, it will sign you up for crap. I must have missed unchecking a box somewhere.

As Angela stated, call the number back, it's automated.  Select 1, you will enter your ph#, enter 1 again to be placed on the do not call list and they will confirm.  then hang up.

its a free college/degree service. they got my number because I signed up for grant information on the web about a week ago. If you don't want them to call anymore, call the number back and press #1 and enter your phone #, a recording will state that you have placed on their Do Not Call list and the recording says it may take 24-48 hours to effect....so you will probably get a few more calls before they stop.

I don't recognize the number. I don't answer if I don't know who's calling. They never leave a message & when I call back there is no answer.

Continuous calls without leaving message or when answered don't say anything. Huge pain in the ass.

Yeah I have been getting the call daily for about a week now. Finally answered today and it was an indian sounding man who knew my name. Right when he started explaining himself the call dropped from their end. I'm hopeful that they won't call again.
