- kameka| 5 repliesLady called the owner of the company I worked for and stated that to save my self the embarassment of being served papers in two hours call this number. Gave my boss a name of Karen when i called for Karen - they state no Karen works there. Said I should reference a case number - gave case number claims to be a Jennifer and she is a meeting and she will call back. When answering phone they say "CORPORATE OFFICE" BUT NO NAME OF BUSINESS - WILL GET BACK TO U AND LET U KNOW IF I WAS SERVED PAPER AND WHAT SHE STATES WHEN CALLING ME!

- willThe same person called my brand new unlisted home phone number claiming to be a process server, with a phony case number and stating a court date with this being their second attempt. This person have never been to my home, and has never attempted anything. The person in question has never lived with me let alone lived in the state in which I reside. I intend to get down to the bottom of this and find out who these people are, claiming to be a state and/or government official.

- Nicole| 1 replyI got the same phone call about going to be served with papers and need to set up an appointment and that i have a two hour window to call back or they are going to the courts. so i called them back gave them the case number they gave me and said that i need to talk to this chick Jennifer but she is in a meeting so i gave them my name and number and have her call me back. I called 20 minutes later wanting to know more information but the guy who i was talking to said that he is just a receptionist and that i need to talk to Jennifer. So i called my police station down the road and said that there is no record of anything for me, but that they don't have access to private companies and that it could be a lawyer trying to find you. So then i asked the police man if they warn people about being served or do they just serve them, and he said that they just find you and serve you. They don't warn anyone. So i called back demanding to talk to Jennifer but that she is on the phone, so i said that i will wait. then the lady now put me on hold for two minutes came back on the phone and said she is still on the phone and i said i can wait i have all day, then put me back on hold. 20 seconds later said that she needs to call me back wanted my name and number and i said that, that information should be stored on your computer i already gave them that information. Then i asked what the name of their corporate office's actual name was and she told me LLD. I said no thank you i will not be calling you back I've contacted my lawyer so don't call here again or I'm calling the cops. And haven't heard anything since. so my guess this is a scam of information and/or identity theft.

Signal: GSM - blaq replies to NicoleOMG i rec'd the same exact call from a Jessica Williams, calling from a restricted phone number. She left a message on my cell phone (which isn't even in my name!) I have no idea how they obtained this totally private number. She stated that she was calling from "a private processing division to schedule a uniformed officer or a process server to come out to your place of work or home to provide you with a legal summons. The officer will make three attempts...if no contact is established you will be classified with the courts as a failure to contact be served, if you have any questions you can address them to the issuing agent and there number is 855-373-6858 regarding case number 6743. I will grant you a two hour window to contact them today once my name is Jessica Williams calling to inform you that we are making our second attempt thank you". Is this not the strangest voice-mail of all times? I mean really since when do you schedule being served? Also, they wanted my SS#...NOT! When I asked what company they were calling from i was told LLL and....what is that?! Lincoln Legal Litigation googled it ...nothing. I am soo irritated... I think it is a scam of some sort
- ReneeI too, received a call today from "Madison B." saying I was being served with legal papers either at my place of employment or home. I am to call 855-373-6858 and refer to a case # and I only have a 2 hour window to do it and that this is their first legal attempt at reaching me.
- Not StupidJust got the same type of call, same rhetoric, blah, blah, blah. Am not going to fall for scheme from whomever but I did use a program that I have and got the telephone number from whomever is MAKING the calls to me (this is the second). The offending caller numbers are: 727-450-1926 AND 727-450-1944, which are from the Pinellas County area in Florida. IT MAY HELP FUTURE POSTERS TO PUT THE GENERAL VICINITY --- NOT, REPEAT NOT THE EXACT ADDRESS WHERE YOU LIVE -- Just in case they monitor this site to add to their attempts to steal your personal information. I'm in the Tampa area and will play them out as I know enough to never call numbers back from personal telephone lines/cells.
By the way, what is interesting is that my calls WERE IDENTICALLY STATED as above??!!!!!!- Caller: unknown originator
- MariaI got same messages....

- kyleGot a call from a guy saying he was a process server and said a uniform officer or process server was looking for me and wanted toknow where to serve at home or work. He gave me a number 855-373-6858 and a case #. I call and they answered corporate office and then was transfered to a guy who answered litigation David Lopez with Liberty Law. He told me I owed over 1,000 on a credit card. My attorney said he probably looked at my credit report and got this info and was just trying to get me to send him some money. When I said fax me proof he said look on my credit report. The county clerk office said they had no record of a lawsuit filed. This guy told me he would give me one day or else.

- Wasn't born yesterday!| 3 repliesHi Kids! I too received the same rhetoric, with the same phone number, except that my call was from a male, Chris McKenna, with a different "case #." His first mistake was calling the daughter of a police officer, who happens to know that people are best served when done so by surprise. His second mistake was that he thought I was a male, as my first name is unisex. The fact that they say they're sending a "uniformed officer" is total BS....notice they don't state the TYPE of officer: sheriff, deputy, police officer, etc. Too generic! If I did happen to owe money to anyone, they would have my address and would have tried to serve it there....even though my address is a PO Box. I would've been informed by my guys at my PO box that someone tried to serve me, and that hasn't happened. I've had subpoenas from the DA to appear in criminal court as a witness for a case, and the DA was able to send my info to the PO box. That fact was the clincher that these guys don't know what they're talking about, and just want me to volunteer information. I could go on and on, but yes folks, this IS a SCAM!
- NOT STUPID TOO replies to Wasn't born yesterday!I have had THREE calls from these yahoos and left exactly the same rhetoric this past week alone! The idiots even called my employer, which they too know this is a scam! I have already called the police and reported the info. SCAM SCAM SCAM
- URKiddingA Madison Beaver (?) left similar voice mail message on my cell phone -- similar script message.
I called them from Skype - skype to phone - and their system disconnects as soon as a connection is made - most probably detecting that the call is not from a cell phone or phone landline.
This is a SCAM and is a WASTE OF TIME.
Lesson:
- no agreement is legal unless in written form - oral contracts can seldom be enforced
- never volunteer any information to an unknown entity
- identity theft is prevalent especially in North America and Europe
- the internet has made it easy for any in the world to start a scam and outside the reach legal prosecution.- Caller: Private Processing
- JDI got the same fake call. Twice so far. Last time they said "I'll give you a two-hour window to call back before sending the officer out"
BS.
The caller said she was Jessica Williams. She was trying to reach a person I've never heard of (not me...or anyone that has ever worked for me)
For reference, my vicinity is somewhere in "The Middle of California". - concernedclient replies to Wasn't born yesterday!| 1 replySo this is a scam? They called me stating they were going to send someone to serve me papers only three times then after that if they couldn't serve me they would say faliure to appear and they would arrest me. Is that true?
- Ann D replies to kameka| 3 repliesWas anyone ever SERVED?? I keep getting this too!
- You have nothing to worry about replies to concernedclientWhen you are truly SERVED, no one calls you to warn you. Ive been threatened at least 50 times with being served in hours or days, and no one has shown up yet, nor will they. Its a scam. They cant take you to court, because their tactics are illegal. Just ignore it. Everything will be fine.
- You have nothing to worry about replies to Ann D| 1 replyYou will not be served. Ive been threatened at least 50 times (as I stated in a lower down post) with being served and it hasnt happened yet. When you are truly served, no one calls you to warn you and "try to settle". These scammers cant take you to court because their tactics are illegal. Just ignore it. It usually takes about 2 months for them to disappear. You can change your phone number in the mean time if possible to make them disappear immediately. Also if you have any good information on who they are, report them to the FTC, and your states attorney general.
- Tommy N.hey.. so my mom got this call yesterday, and since she doesnt speak much english she gave me the phone, the guy said he was from lincoln legal division or something like that and said my mom owed money for an unpaid credit card from 2007-2008. we were both kinda freaking out at the time so i believed the guy when he was talking to me.. but after a while to think about it.. it seemed pretty shady considering how he was trying to settle for $700 when the debt he claimed my mom owed was $1000.. so im just trying to make sure this is a scam and not a real thing cause i dont want my mom to get into trouble with the law or anything
- ENYup, got this call this morning--in my voice mail no less! From Matt Price. 1st, they don't identify the company they work for, which, if this was legit would be a legal must. 2nd, yeah, like everyone said, they don't call you to warn you if you're actually going to be served. They just do it.
Verbage was exactly the same "This is Matt Price calling to inform you....to schedule a time for a uniformed officer and a process server....2 hour window....case #" all the same.
I didn't freak out or get worried, because I used to be a collector, I know the laws and I know how stupid it is NOT to follow them. I was curious about who it really was, though, so I googled the # and came up with this site! :D
Don't even bother calling these clowns back.- Caller: LLD
