Got a message from this number saying a court summons was going to be filed for someone at this number.  Call back to find out who and the social security number or...  whatever... I have zero bad debt, not worried.  Don't fall for this scam!

Received a call Thursday from a Adam Kerry stating I had been contacted in January and refused to pay a debt. If I did not send payment that day I would have a "summons" served on me for Fraud which is a felony charge. They do not serve summons for criminal charges. My husband and I just bought a house and no bad debt was found. The guy got really rude with me when he realized I was not going to fall for his line. I work in Public Safety and I am not an idiot. The letter I was sent was from Law Office Drake and McKennon. My Chief looked into this and said it was a scam. Number will be blocked so I do not have to deal with these idiots again!!!

If you received  letter delivered by the post office, consider taking it to your postmaster.  The postal inspectors might be interested!!  Your boss is correct.  A phone call means nothing.

The 855 area code is a favorite of scammers.

What was the address given on that letter?  I have found a Law Offices of Drake & McKannon here that is a debt collector but they conveniently list no address on their web page:http://www.drakemckannon.com/index.php.  It looks like a cheaply and poorly designed web page anyway with a bunch of off the shelf pictures.  I would like to see if they really are attorneys.

I got a call from the same #. Couldn't understand most of what was said. Except for that they were taking me to cout with my name and ssn? But the wouldn't tell me what my name was. I called them back. When they answered, I asked what they were talking about. They told me I didn't know what I was talking about, and hung up on me. I called back. Only to be answered by a voice mail account. I left a message that know where they are and if they ever threatend to give out my ssn, I would come there, rip off their heads and crap in their necks. If they were ligit. I would have heard from them again. I've heard nothing. Scum bags trying to rip us off.

My wife just got a similar call - "there is a subpoena for your arrest according to your social security number" or words to that effect.  I called and spoke to an abusive guy who threatened me also.  EM Associates, 855-380-7726.  We have no debt so these clowns are up to something else.  Extreme low-life.

This a threat and have many red flags.

This is crap. I have never had a bad check, or a payday loan. The call came seconds after I refused a call from a Virginia number that I get a lot. Scammers. Maybe they will die.

Got a call from the 855-380-7726 number at 10:04 p.m.??? Message about a subpoena and my social security number. I called the number, spoke with a very rude man and would not give him any information due to what I have read online about this being a scam.

18553807726........tried to claim my husband owes money for bad checks, for bad pay day loans in which we do not owe.......tired to claim for old bills which have been already paid for.......i went back and forth with them , about what they are doing .........and yet in the end i know they are scamming people and threatening summons with no proof and cant even back it up......on top of that they are rude, insulting .........telling women like me to grow up and pay my bills........i pay my bills, morons are scared because they know people are onto them hell they arent even a bbb accredited either, and most legal collections are .........when you ask for information, they tap dance and they give lies, and then when they try and trap you , they dont even have the right information.........all they are people trying to use scare tactics to get money, dont give them personal information, dont give them a dime, if they say they are going to sue , then wait for the proof, wait for the summons, ......this has been going for 2 and 1/2 years for me .....off and on.......what has happened is they manage to get some legal infromation from collection agencies that no longer have the info.........they try and use it to scare people ....and on top of that, they dont even have the correct information.................DM ASSOCIATES has used more then several numbers to try and cover their tracks, they have also used several different names to try and scare people ........................I AM TIRED OF DEALING WITH IDIOTS who think they have it together ......they dont, and they know they dont ..........so if you receive a call from this number or other numbers with the same so called company name Dm Associates ......they are frauds .....block the numbers .........report them as you can and dont let them scare you .......because thats all they are trying to do !!!!

Had several missed calls from this # and a vm that I could not understand so I called back.  I was put on hold only to have a gentleman tell me that I owed on a substantial amount of bad checks.  When I blatently told him it wasn't me, that I don't write checks, and to try again he hung up.  I called back to find out who they were affiliated with and I was hung up on once again.  Don't fall for this.
