I received a call from this number this afternoon and the young man on the other end stated that he was my grandson and when I questioned this that it didn't sound like my Grandson he said it was because he had been in a car accident last nite and had his nose broke.  So he goes on to say that he is with his attorney and is being detained and charged with a 502 (drunk driving) and at this point I knew better and asked him what my name was and if he didn't answer in two seconds that he should just hang up and never call me again.  Beware... It is a scam

Caller identified himself as oldest grandson, that he had been in car accident about 300 miles away, charged with DUI and could grandpa Pete help him.  Caller said his attorney would call but never received that phone call.  Called our oldest son and he was home so obviously a scam.

the number #855-396-2031 shows up on caller ID as Toll- Free/Possible Scam they have called every day for the last week.  I have not answered it. They do not leave messages.

A female said she was my granddaughter, and I said no you aren't she said [***] you gradma and hung up.

Called but left no message.

Third time I got a call from "your grandson".  Knew it was a scam so I asked him for his name, he goes, excuse me,  I said, I know this is a scam and hung up.

Caller garbled some words and hung up.

This number called my mom while I was visiting her. Thankfully, I answered the phone. The guy on the other end kept telling me that I was his grandma. When I kept asking him what my grandson‘s name was, he couldn’t tell me. When he realized that I had caught him he hung up. IMom knows to not answer any calls she doesn’t recognize.  Scary someone does this to old people.

Didn’t answer unknown caller. Left no message. Blocked caller

Received a call from a young man stating he was my oldest grandson. First give away was calling me “grandma”! My grandchildren would never call me that. He stated he was I New York for a wedding. I asked him what his name was and he said “Mike” at which time I told him I don’t have a grandson named Mike. He then hung up.

this # has been calling telling me he is my grandson and needs money!

Pretty much the same as others have experienced - a young man claiming to be my oldest granddaughter (speaking with a "Jersey" accent), saying she (he) had been in an auto accident, with a broken nose (explaining the strange sounding voice), arrested for DUI, in jail, needing money to post bail, her (his) lawyer would call. I asked about her (his) daughter a few times. She (he) diverted from the subject and could not tell me her name. I heard about this scam long ago and just played along until the creep gave up. I cannot believe this scam is allowed to continue. Some one in law enforcement isn't doing their job.

Received call 10:48 a.m. 5-1-18.  Male voice said "Hello, Grandpa....need help....is in LA, CA for friend Odie's
funeral who had died of cancer....don't know what to do.  Claimed voice sounded odd because I was in a car wreck and nose broken.  When asked, gave his middle name as "Robert"...not correct.  Voice, answers, etc.,
did not jive with truth.  Immediately call was ended.

Call from my "oldest grandson."  Could not give me his name.  I had some fun with him until her hung up on me.
