Calling my mother about fraudulent E-Checks, when they themselves are the fraudsters.

This company called me to confirm a bank debit for an overseas purchase. I did make this purchase and actually appreciated the call. Note that the company is primarily protecting themselves, though you do benefit from the call.

Jeff, is it possible you uncovered fraud not on their part but from some unscrupulous person your mother knows?

The eCheck check processing system. Verifies eCheck transactions. They called to confirm an internet transaction I made the day before. This is legit.

They didn't call me, I called them.
The overseas merchant I have been dealing with for years now uses "eCheck" and gave me this number to verify the payment transaction.

E check verify. They are a legit company to verify purchases through e-checks. Nice people too.

5 posts in this thread and 4 of them are giving reports that this is a "legitimate" service, yet a web search does not bring up a company by that name.  It's beginning to look a lot like shillmas.

How is this useful to you?  Most banks have a similar service, and usually for no fee.  Wire transfers are possible, but they do cost more and more these days.   Can you provide us with some plain language info?

I'm not sure why the people posting about this being a legit service were given so many thumbs down.  The company is is indeed real and is for an e-check service.  I made an online purchase and they called to verify that I authorized the purchase before charging my account.  The caller even left a voicemail and identified herself in the message. In fact, not only are they real but the DO have a website: theecheck.com

Because those are shill posts trying to make this company look legitimate.  Having a web site means they have $10 to give to go daddy, nothing more.

I can't help but wonder why anyone would come here to look up a so-called "legitimate" number. If you didn't have problems with the number, why are you researching it on a web site know for debunking fake, scam numbers? So transparent it's ridiculous. Just go away, shill. No one will believe you.

Ordered some medication from overseas  yesterday which I had paid through e-check and the call was to verify I made the order before processing.

Like other say it is a legitimate number TheEcheck Verification Department but they are using Caller ID: Unknown, which sound suspicious. I did point it out to them and they claim they know about it and in the process correcting it.

It turns out their number is legitimate, but also is being spoofed. So it can go both ways, the legit company calling you, or the fraudsters

I called them back and it is in fact  e-check and legit. They check on high drug company transactions. The woman told me I'm like the 50th person to call back , their number was hacked and being used to call random people, they will be changing their number..

I just got a call from this number,  and it was "David" from Microsoft.  I don't think so.  I guess I'm one of the ones who got the hacked version of the number.  I've already blocked them.

They just called me saying they were calling me about my windows computer..its a total scam. I have got these computer scam calls for a couple years now.  Its ridiculous.

For me its was associated with a purchase from Inhouse/Pacific Health. They called to verify a purchase in much the same way the credit union calls for overseas transactions. Annoyed that I got a call from this number because I simply wanted a smooth purchase WITHOUT all the extra steps. I was already hesitant to order from this online company since they chaned to echeck and Bitcoin purchases, but I knew it was because of the nature of the business, oversight, customs, etc which has necessitated all the layers of extra steps just to complete a purchase.
