Caller hung up when I asked who was calling.

They left me a voicemail that sounded like a butt dial. When I called the number back I got a pre recorded message saying it was DirecTV and that their offices were closed.

Scammer Spammers are spoofing the number -
At first they wanted to setup a new account and needed to "Verify" my personal information.
Of course, I played along and said that I had several accounts with D.TV and needed to know which account they were needing to "Verify"
The "east-indian" accent "gentleman" said that he would need my full SSN and B.Day to find the account... my reply was that he called me to finish setting up the account why didn't he have the account number
The  "gentleman" started calling me all sorts of names and said he'd have the police at my address and they'd arrest me for identity theft... I told him he had called a trackphone that didn't have an address associated with it

They called and claimed to be direct TV..They ask me why I canceled.I told them..She said she needed my license number and said she was going to look up promotions she said it would take 15 mins and she would call back..
Now I'm worried what can she do with my license number..I was stupid I never give our information but I really thought it was direct TV.I called the number back and it was a message saying DirecTV was closed which I know is a lie and to call back tomorrow

Your driver's license number?  Probably a lot.  Amazing, someone calls you up out of the blue and asks you for personal information and you simply give it to them?

The same thing just happened to me I canceled DirecTV 2 weeks ago..I thought they might call back but I think these are scammers and they already had my name and address and telephone number..She ask for my license number to look up promotions and she would call me back..Oh lord what can she do with my license number..How did she get my information from Direct TV??? If she did get it from them I wonder if there is any recourse I can take against DirecTV for violating my privacy

They already had my information so how did they get it did DirecTV violate my privacy rights?? This is very upsetting to know that possible scammers have my information and how they got it I don't know

They already had it she read it to me...I never give out information I truly thought it was them because I canceled my service a week or so ago..So it wasn't out of the Blue because DirecTV always calls and makes new deals..I just don't understand how she got all of my information

They've called me everyday for about 3 weeks now started about 1 week after I cancelled service with DirecTV. Ridiculous. The time I accidentally answered they wanted my info to make me a new great deal. Click. Thought I was done with they're nonsense. They always called about once a month for years on end anyway to swindle me into buying Showtime or football package or whatever. That was a different number each time usually.

Repeated calls that I never answer. Must be same “Direct TV” call since we just cx’d service.

I got 3 calls from this number in 30min time frame. The voicemail was like a butt dial. I’ve read through many comments and most keep talking about directv and they had canceled their service recently. Coincidentally, I canceled my directv less than 2mo ago. Kind of strange. I wonder if directv has sold our information.

Called my cellphone and I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer the call,they left no voicemail so I didn't know who or why they were calling till I read reports on here saying Direct TV.Blocking the number now.

Definitely tied to DirecTV in some way...like others who have posted, I dumped them about 2 weeks ago.  Got a VM from this number, and it was bizarre.  Thought it was a butt-dial at first, but then the guy started reading from a script (and reading it very badly, like English was rather new to him).  Something along the lines of "...as...an account...man...a...ger, I can...assist...you with...a bet...ter rate...", then immediately cut off.

Same thing here. Cancelled direct TV recently and have been getting calls from this number regularly.

Multiple daily calls. No messages left. Despite blocks, they continue to call.

Likely DirecTV -  as others noted I cancelled my account a few weeks ago and they call repeatedly without leaving messages. I did answer 1 time and they mispronounced my name so I said "wrong number" and they said sorry. Blocked it afterwards. DirecTV is awful BTW :(

This number calls me almost daily, sometimes twice.  I also recently cancelled DirectTv.  I've blocked the number, have never answered it, and they never leave a voicemail.  Stop harassing me.

Pulled the plug on DirecTV late Sept.  Calls from this # started about 10 days later...1 or 2/ day, in afternoon / evening.  No msg, have not answered, now blocked.

I have had 18 calls from this number since Oct 2nd.  Guy with accent (India) says wants to know why cancelled DirectTV.  Won't give up even after explained under 2 year conract with another company and can't do anything.  Calls repeatedly, never leaves message but goes to voice mail. 18 calls since Oct 2nd.
