This number leaves messages on my phone saying the received a complaint and it is urgent and i need to respond before actions are taken without my knowledge

this caller told me that I have a pending action against me, and said papers are being delivered, never got such papers... I feel it's a scam....  end of call says I have been notified...

You are correct - this is a scam. Real process servers don't call in advance because then you could simply avoid them. They also don't give you the option to pay your way out of being served which is what these scammers will tell you if you call them back. Block and ignore such calls.

Same thing happened on the May 1st. saying a complaint is being filed against someone with my first name and my girlfriends last name. It was really weird. The message said to call a 855 number and left a case number. Then when I called they clearly had my name wrong and gave me last four of the persons social they were looking for and it wasn't mine.

This number called and asked for my cousin and said he had a civil case in VENTURA and gave me a false case #. So we did some research and Edwards and associate doesn’t exist is California

Same thing happened to Me, called saying my Exwife (Primary) me (secondary) were being processed for wage garnishment, provides account number for CC which company denies Existence... than notified me we will notify our director(Michael Green) of Complaint... I will never pay over a phone... scam scam scam

Report to the Consumer Financial Protection Agency that's what I did, they are trying to scam folks their physical address is incorrect

I got a call from this company from a different number.. same number for a Dept that is over 10 years old... How do i report them...

I guess you did not correctly read their address?  They are in California.  Ontario, California is next to Los Angles.

They are nasty people.  They originally call from a "restricted" number.  I knew it was a scam, but I called them back because I like to mess with scammers.  They got really belligerent.  One scary thing, though,  they had my driver's license #.  I think they may have gotten info from the Experian breach.

Did this turn out to be a scam?

I just got a call from this place trying to collect a eleven year old debt. Saying that it was a small amount I owed but with interest it’s over three times the amount now and they are going to sue me.

I got a call from restricted number with message to call back 855 number. Said I was being sued for a small debt that was 14 years ago now the amount was thousands.  if I paid today they would settle for $298. I asked them to send me something in the mail. They said if I choose to have it sent via postal that I would have to go to court and the $298 pay off was only for 24hrs.

It is definitely a scam

They call me saying I owe a payment from 2005,then they said 2008 .they said it started off at 298 and with interest it was 2200

Different phone # : 855-415-0187. I ignored it due to being unknown number.  they called my husband at work. had an 18 year old address.  claimed hospital in dallas was suing me for $472.  credit report had nothing on it, didn't live in the city of the claim 16 years ago.  suspected it being off so didn't pay them.  research of address: its a house with 5 guys living in it

These people called yesterday. They contacted people who were no longer family and told them I have a Judgement against me. I gave them my cc number but they will be surprised because I cancelled it this am. They have no right to call people and tell people I have a judgment against me They even went back almost 29 years and called people. I received calls from these people that they called all day yesterday and was so embarrassed. There has to be something I can do
