Female caller left a message on phone—claims there is a complaint filed against me...but for what?...Says her name was Jamie

Jaimie Gomez left a message saying they are "reviewing my file for a complaint" and if I do not respond it will result in the filing office proceeding without my consent.

So, they are going to sue you without your consent?  I would never be able to imagine anyone consenting to being sued.  These people are hilarious with their "legalese".  Yes, this is an extortion scam by criminals pretending to be debt collectors and process servers.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid. 

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Just got a call from this number from a Ms Campbell stating that there’s a complaint files against me and if I don’t get back to them they will file against my consent when I called back I get a busy signal

This is a scam. They call from a block number and then they leave a message to call them back. When I call them back the person is not able to provide information about the “claim” but they want me to settle by making a payment today by wire. I hung up on them and will call the BBB.

A Michael Anderson called and said a "complaint was filed against me and if I don't get back to them immediately proceedings will be filed against me without my consent" and a blocked number.

Alexander called and asked for my husbands social and birthdate. They did have our address and said they would be here tomorrow to serve us. It was from a 2010 credit card that we never had. They also called my son-in-law!
