I have a house listed on Zillow. I received the following text from this number:
"{From: Kevin Ortega regarding FSBO on Zillow) Is it still available? My wife and I are highly interested! (Email: [email address omitted]). Text STOP to opt-out."
Are you REALLY highly interested? Why don't YOU email me? My email is in my Zillow listing.
Buh-bye "Kevin"

Zillow scam. THere is no wife

Received the same zillow scam as reported above.  I have a FSBO for sale on Zillow and received the message from Kevin Ortega stating he & his wife are highly interested.  It's such a stupid scam because it's the type of message that allows you opt.  Really??? If you are texted from Kevin Ortega, 855.415.1632...IT'S A SCAM.  Block it.

Same text was received and I immediately thought it was suspicious.  I guess I don’t understand the scam - what’s the point?  What can he gain from sending such a message?

Same text as those above. Obviously a realtor trying to get a listing. Would like to know which real estate office. I would report to the State Department.

Text from Kevin Ortega inquiring about my FSBO on Zillow with an Opt Out message - immediately blocked (have gotten a few of these message types before from other numbers/varius names. Scam. 855-415-1632

Received a text on 4/8/20 from Kevin Ortega.  Glad I read this and didn't respond.  Looked like a spam.  He asked me to email him and that him and his wife were interested in my property.

Im in the same boat. What exactly is the scam?

Same text for my house listed on Zillow. Wife and all exact text. I think if you click on the link with certain devices they can gain access to all your personal info, bank, credit cards and such. Obviously if you could reach someone by text why would you complicate things?!

I have gotten this twice and thought it was from a realtor. Non of my legit texts have that opt out and the  FSBO Reference.  And I like why? What’s the scam? What is this person wanting?
Has anyone replied ok Kevin come see the house?

Most likely a house flipper.  Will offer you cash for about 50% of the value of the home.  Unwanted text messages should be forwarded to 7726 so that carriers will block them.

I just got a text message on my iPhone from Kevin Ortega - same deal he will be in town next week with his wife and they want to look at our house. I replied because I did not realize it was a scam. After that I looked up the # and saw it was a scam. Sent him an email telling him not to bother me any more because I know he is a scammer

Report it to Zillow first, then to your States Real Estate Commission.
